Zyplast is a product that is considered to be a Collagen injection. In the opinion of most plastic surgeons, has been proven to be an effective product. It was introduced around 1985. The manufacturer of this product have made claims that they may have set a new standard in the area of smoothing out wrinkles. In this review we are going to try to determine whether or not this product could be used as an effective anti-aging product.

Product Details

This product was introduced around 1985. This product is meant to provide better filling in fine lines, scars and thick skinned areas more effectively than other leading Collagen fillers. The most often reason this procedure is used is in the lips. When injected into the lips, smoothing results can be seen around the lips as well as increasing the fullness of the lips. It is claimed that instant results can be seen when using this method. However, most of the time it is found that this method is bypassed due to the known skin allergens and because the injections can become quite painful. Treatment has to be re administered once every 2 to 3 months. The price of this procedure cannot be over looked either. The treatments are usually available in the price range of $300 to $600 dollars. If maintenance is done like it is recommended, this can show to have the potential of adding up to a very high cost.

The Good

  • Can most often produce immediate results.
  • May be a convenience to some because treatment is only 4 to 6 times per year.

The Bad

  • Injections are said to cause pain in most individuals
  • Can prove to be expensive in the long run
  • Results may not be considered to be long term
  • Require high maintenance in between treatments
  • Contains known allergens

The Bottom Line

When reviewing this product, possible reasons have been found that could show why women may choose not to use this particular method. Although it appears as though this method only has to be used once every 2 to 3 months, there is some maintenance the is recommended to be used in between these treatments that may be found to be time consuming. As far as a being an actual anti-aging product goes, this may not be what most women would have in mind. Anti-aging products are usually found to have long term, positive effects on various signs of aging. Zyplast
