Youthtopia is a product in the Origins product line. It claims to be a skin firming lotion that will reduce sagging skin and restore a youthful look. In the course of this review, we will take a closer look at the ingredients and product claims to see if Youthtopia is what it claims to be.
Product Details
On the company website, we are told that Youthtopia includes the following ingredients: Vitamin C, Plant Peptide, Sunflower, Buckbean, and Rhodiola. While these are all natural and plant based ingredients, we still believe there has to be more than this formula than we are being told. The lack of a full ingredient list will likely cause a reduction in product sales because people will not be able to judge whether or not they will be able to use this product without the risk of skin irritation or allergic reaction, because even natural ingredients may not be safe for everyone to use all the time.
Vitamin C was an ingredient previously thought to assist with natural collagen production. Recent research indicates that this ingredient, depending on the method used to include it in the product, may actually be harmful and increase the potential for damaging free radicals to make their way in and take their toll on the skin.
There is little information on whether or not plant peptides will produce the same effects as the use of animal peptides in terms of their effects on anti-aging. There are several different product claims on how these will help firm the skin and increase collagen production, though nothing can be found that will substantiate these claims.
The Good
- Youthtopia can be purchased directly at the official product website.
The Bad
- We doubt that we have been provided with a complete list of ingredients.
- There is little evidence to support the effectiveness of the ingredients we have been made aware of.
- We do not know if the Vitamin C in this product was added in the manner that will help the skin rather than harm it.
The Bottom Line
Many women looking for anti aging products look for something that is not only price friendly but contains proven ingredients backed by research to show that the product will work to improve the appearance and condition of the skin. Unfortunately, Youthtopia is not a product that fully discloses their ingredients in the first place, let alone one that contains the proven ingredients consumers seek. Find products that include ingredients such as Matrixyl, and Argireline so that you know you are getting something that will work. Products with these ingredients range in price, but you will be able to find something to fit just about any budget.

My wife used some youthtopia products and had a horrible, and scary, reaction. First, her face tingled, then burned, then went numb. The left side of her mouth looked like it had been shot with Novocaine. She couldn’t move her lip for almost a month. My advice, stay away from these products. Many other allergic type reactions are listed on other websites. Take a look before buying.

Does Origins “Youthpia” include Sunscreen? Top of box says formulated with:Parabans and PABA?

The regular Youthtopia does not include sunscreen. Just wanted to comment I’ve been using it for years, have sensitivities to all kinds of weird stuff and nothing in this product or most of the Origins line bothers me. (I say most because I never use any products with sunscreen because of the sensitivity issues.) Looks like it might be discontinued anyway, couldn’t find it at Macy’s or online. :/ There is a new Youthtopia Lift cream that felt a little too heavy for me even though I have very dry skin.
