Urth Beauty does not provide much information about why it provides facial products, but their products speak for themselves, ranging from ginseng-rich facial ashes to natural scrubs infused with SPF 15. The price is one of their main selling points, followed by the ingredients used to create their products. With products rarely going over the $40.00 mark, Urth Beauty is very affordable, and their Asian-inspired ingredients also give it some interest among environmentally-aware consumers. According to Urth Beauty’s retailers, all of their ingredients feature ginseng, white tea, green tea, rice, tea tree oil, and vitamins A, C, and D. Ginseng is commonly cited as a powerful Asian remedy in their products, but actual studies say this root has no epidermal effects on the skin. Its only proven effects is to help stimulate arousal, which obviously will not benefit anybody looking for skin-related relief. White tea and Green Tea have similar issues — their effects are not skin-based. Both contain a healthy amount of antioxidants, which some skincare companies say help improve the skin’s appearance due to the elimination of free radicals caused by antioxidant use. The issue here are the findings here have only been tested on a dietary level; its effects when used topically cannot be confirmed at this time. The only ingredient that specifically impacts the skin’s appearance is Vitamin E. This vitamin is essential for healthy skin care and also nourishes the skin with proper antioxidants, making this a popular choice for many skincare companies. Vitamin E alone will not completely improve the appearance of skin, however.
