Tripeptinon is a new wrinkle fighting product that has been receiving a great deal of publicity lately. One reason for this is that Tripeptinon is manufactured by AminoGenesis, who are also the makers of the famous Botox anti-wrinkle injection formula. With Tripeptinon, this company is seeking to branch out into over-the-counter anti-wrinkle treatment. Tripeptinon comes in a fairly unique “capsule” form, compared to many wrinkle fighting treatments, which are offered as topical cream. Tirpeptinon is sold in individually portioned gel caps that the user breaks open to release the product.

Tripeptinon claims to derive its wrinkle fighting powers from antioxidants. The product claims to be the only available anti-aging treatment that contains 17 different amino acids in its formula. Unfortunately, the official product website is literally formatted like an advertising postcard, right down to the “As Seen On TV” logo. What the official site does not seem to have is a list of ingredients for Tripeptinon, basic application directions, or any kind of an FAQ. There is, however, information on contacting customer service, who might be able to answer some questions for us.

Product Details

While we could not find a full ingredient list on the official Tripeptinon website, we were able to come up with this list on a third party anti-aging treatment review site: Cyclomethicone, Dimethiconol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Simmondsia Chinesis, Ceramide Complex 2, Ubiquinone, Amino Multi-Tides, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, PEG10 Rapeseed Sterol, Triticum Vulgare, Glycyrrhiza Glabra, Carthamus Tinctorius, Angelica Archangelica Extract, Tribehenin, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate and Citrus Bark Extract (Fragrance).

We were a bit disappointed to see the inclusion of “Fragrance” in this product, since artificial fragrances have been linked to skin irritation in users with sensitive skin. We were also surprised at the one dimensional nature of the Tripeptinon website that we looked at, considering that AminoGenesis is such a big-name company. Antioxidants are important when it comes to preventing wrinkles, since these molecules can protect against free radical cell mutations caused by environmental factors like pollution. However, antioxidants do little to help with existing wrinkles. Tripeptinon does promise users that it will also boost the body’s collagen production, but we don’t see how this is born out in the product’s ingredient list.

The Good

  • Tripeptinon can be ordered conveniently online.
  • Tripeptinon provides potential customers with a customer service hotline number.

The Bad

  • Very little information is given on the official Tripeptinon website.
  • We found our ingredient list on a third-party review site, not on the official website.
  • Antioxidants are good for preventing skin damage, but they will do little to help users with existing wrinkles.
  • Some users report that there is actually TOO MUCH Tripeptinon in a single gel cap, which can be wasteful.

The Bottom Line

Tripeptinon is an interesting proposition, and its Botox manufacturer pedigree might catch the attention of many. But a look at the ingredient list for Tripeptinon reveals nothing that is particularly unique to this product. Once you get past its gel cap packaging, we see little that sets this product apart from many others that we’ve seen.

Hydrolyze Bottle

(Optional- For Enhanced Results): Hydrolyze

Editor's Review: 4.6 / 5.0

After looking at so many anti-aging treatments, we've seen that the delicate skin around the eyes can be a real problem area for many people. Dark circles can make you look years older, and for some people even a good night's sleep won't make them go away. That's why we were so excited to find Hydrolyze, which has been formulated by industry experts specifically as an under-eye treatment. The makers of Hydrolyze are so confident in their product that they offer potential users a Risk Free Trial so they can see the results for themselves. Hydrolyze contains the break-through ingredient Haloxyl, which has been shown to reduce under-eye discoloration between 40%-60% in a clinical case study. By offering consumers a way to erase the dark circles and wrinkles that often occur under the eyes, Hydrolyze is revolutionizing the skincare industry. >> Read more about Hydrolyze Go
