Thalgo is one of the more established skin care companies on the market today, dating back to 1968 when the company was first established. However, the research into the benefits of the sea water that is used in the Thalgo products dates even further back than that. This entire skin care line touts the advantages in skin care that can be found in marine algae, which is found in many of the Thalgo formulas. The Thalgo product line is large, with products designed for the face, the eyes and lips and the body. There is also a selection of products created just for men. The Thalgo Wrinkle Control Cream is one of the anti-aging products that Thalgo offers, along with a concentrate and an intercellular mask.

It does not appear that Thalgo Wrinkle Control Cream is available for purchase on the Thalgo website. We believe that offering products through this vehicle is convenient for a consumer, since it saves the research to find the skin care line for sale elsewhere. We also did not find a money back guarantee or customer testimonials available. However, we were able to find the Thalgo Wrinkle Control Cream through a number of online retailers. The price for the Thalgo Wrinkle Control Cream is currently about $52 at the time of this review.

Product Details

We are disappointed to see that the Thalgo website does not provide a complete ingredient list for the Thalgo Wrinkle Control Cream. We believe that this information is essential if a consumer is to make an educated decision about skin care. However, we were able to find some ingredients from online retailers. These ingredients include matrixyl, beech bud extract and purified padina pavonic extract. Without a complete ingredient list, we cannot know for sure what else is in the formula that might be effective or potentially harmful.

We are pleased to see the ingredient matrixyl in this formula, since this ingredient has been proven to stimulate the production of collagen in the skin. This substance is lost as we age, which can lead to sagging skin and wrinkles. However, matrixyl is much more effective if it is combined with other anti-aging ingredients like argireline and hyaluronic acid. We don’t have any reason to believe that the Thalgo Wrinkle Control Cream contains either of these.
