According to the La Roche-Posay company, this product is a breakthrough product in that it not only helps to fight the signs of aging but does so by helping to moisturize the skin and is made specifically for those with very dry skin.
Product Details
The La Roche-Posay Substiane Anti-Aging Replenishing Care cream contains many key ingredients, three of which we will study. Starting with Pro-Xylane, this ingredient is derived from the beech-wood plant and is said to restore the skin’s overall health and suppleness. Pro-Xylane has been said to help rebuild the skin from the inside out. The, there is Arginine. This ingredient is said to quicken the repair time of damaged skin tissue. Because aging skin is usually skin that has been damaged by the sun or other outdoor environmental effects over time, it needs intense moisture to retain its youthful appearance. With the help of Arginine, the product claims that damaged skin can be repaired. Lastly, the Serine in Substiane is an ingredient which is supposed to help to moisturize the skin. Intensely moisturized skin will not crack as easily, thus will remain smooth and supple.

While Substiane products do contain new ingredients for anti-aging, we were unable to locate scientific research to back up its claims. It would be better if the product worked as an all-in-one anti-aging solution but the product website states that it needs to be used in combination with another product to receive its full benefits. We like to recommend anti-aging products which contain proven ingredients such as Argireline, Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, and Matrixyl 3000 to produce dramatic, noticeable results that consumers are looking for. Substiane should provide customer testimonials and before & after photos to demonstrate product effectiveness and to create a more confident buying experience for first time customers. Unfortunately, Substiane may be too expensive for the average consumer at this time.
