Stila cosmetics have been around since 1994 when they were created by a top makeup artist who was trying to find a modern yet approachable look and feel for the cosmetics industry. Per the website, Stila’s goal is to “help every woman celebrate her own unique beauty; to look and feel like the best version of herself; and to have fun doing it.”
Product Details
At the time of this review, there were no products by Stila Cosmetics that were used to reduce wrinkles or help to fight the signs of aging. The products produced by Stila are all makeup products, moisturizing lotions or accessories such as makeup brushes. The Stila website is attempting to market the products based on their uniqueness. You are able to combine the colors and use different brushes to get a totally unique look based on how you apply the makeup. With the goal in mind of making people appear more beautiful by using their products, one would think that they would offer some age defying creams but as of this review, we are sad to report that there don’t appear to be any. As the goal of many people these days is to reduce the signs of aging by getting rid of fine lines, the Stila products are not very appealing for that audience.
The Good
- Stila Cosmetics have been featured in such branded magazines as Allure and InStyle and has even been featured on the runways in New York during Fashion Week.
- The Stila Cosmetics packaging is eco-friendly.
The Bad
- At the time of this review, only 2 skincare products were available and both of those products were out of stock.
- There are no anti-aging creams or lotions available by Stila Cosmetics.
- Many of the products that Stila Cosmetics is trying to market are visible on the website but they are out of stock.
The Bottom Line
If you are in the market for makeup, this could be a great place for you to shop. The prices are pretty reasonable considering the different palettes available, but as many of the products aren’t available due to stocking issues, even those customers would look elsewhere when trying to make a purchase. Consumers who are looking for a skincare product that will help stop the hands of time and decrease the fine lines and wrinkles that are starting to appear around the face and neck should look elsewhere as Stila Cosmetics does not offer such products at this time. We would also recommend consumers deal with companies who care enough to keep its products in stock at all time for consumers who are trying to maintain a certain skin care regimen.
How does Stila rate for cosmetics for women over 60. I am a former Prescriptive used, presently using Philosophy however looking to try something else.
