Skinperative is a line of skin care products manufactured and marketed by Dermazone Solutions. The company states that the Skinperative collection represents the seven products that are “must-have’s” in any skin care regimen. The line includes: Botanical Daily Moisturizer, Enzyme Exfoliating Mask, Eyelyph Serum, Moisturizing Sunscreen, Rosewater Clarifier, Spoil Me Body Moisturizer, and Lip Treat.

The Skinoperative website is reasonably informative and provides descriptions of each product along with a list of key active ingredients. We were disappointed to note that the company did not provide a full list of ingredients. Many consumers wish to know exactly what is in their skin care products to know whether there are any low-quality “fillers” or any potential allergens. Some of the products have links to clinical research which we definitely are in favor of. This gives the consumer even more information on the quality of the products and whether they might be able to live up to their claims. We did not find any reference to a money-back guarantee or any product samples.

Product Details

We will have a closer look at the Eyelyph Serum in this review as it claims to reduce dark circles, puffiness and fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. According to the Skinperative website, the key ingredients are: Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Dimethicone, Glycerin, Green Tea Extract, Honeysuckle Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Bisabolol Natural, Hyaluronic Acid, Chamomile Oil, Rose Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, Witch Hazel, Anise Oil, Lecithin, and Lyphazomes.

Vitamins C and E are found in many skin care products and they do have some proven anti-oxidant and soothing properties. The stand out ingredient in our opinion is hyaluronic acid or HA. HA can hold over 1,000 times its own weight in water and has been proven to deeply hydrate the skin. That alone makes this product a good moisturizer but we find nothing else that we feel would be able to produce the promised results. When we look for an effective anti-wrinkle formulation, we like to see HA teamed up with collagen to restore the body’s supply and peptides like Matrixyl 3000 to stimulate the body’s own production of collagen and elastin and Argiriline to relax the underlying facial muscles that cause wrinkles. There is no indication that these ingredients are included in the Skinperative formulations.

The Good

  • Products can be purchased directly on manufacturer’s website.
  • Some products contain hyaluronic acid.
  • Results of clinical testing presented.

The Bad

  • Full ingredient list not available.
  • No money-back guarantee offered.
  • May not contain effective ingredients to produce desired results.
  • Not labeled as non-allergenic.

The Bottom Line

While consumers could certainly do worse that the Skinperative line of products, we feel they can also do better. The best products contain clinically-proven ingredients backed by a company that stands behind their products with a money-back guarantee. Consumers may wish to continue their search for a product that will provide dramatic and long-lasting results.
