Phloretin CF is a new skin serum from Skinceuticals that serves to be a “preventative and corrective” treatment applied directly to the skin. The formula claims to have been developed after five years of extensive clinical and medical research in order to create the best product possible.

Skinceuticals is a company that was founded in 1997, so it is relatively young compared to some of the other companies who produce products we have reviewed. They claim to be published in clinical studies and trials, though we cannot find any of these posted on the website.

Product Features

According to the official Skinceuticals website, Phloretin CF is a “Patent-pending, breakthrough antioxidant combination of 2% phloretin, 10% L-ascorbic acid, and 0.5% ferulic acid for broad-spectrum antioxidant performance.”It also contains vitamin C.

Phloretin CF claims to be able to: protect the skin cells from mutation by protecting the DNA, prevents early signs of aging and protects against more damage, adds to skin support structure, protects again UV induced skin discoloration, and speeds the rate at which the cells turn over.

To use the product, it is advised that in the morning after washing your face, neck and chest, you should apply four to five drops to dry skin. It should be followed with a moisturizer and sunscreen. There are other Skinceuticals products recommended to combine with this product for best results: Retinol, B5 Moisturizer, and Pyhto + are suggested to help round out a complete skincare regimen.

We can see that this is a very professional company, though we cannot vouch for the effectiveness of their products because we are unsure of whether or not the ingredients listed are the only ingredients in the formula. This is a very expensive skincare option so many people may never be able to find out how well this product works. Though we cannot substantiate the claims that they have been reported in clinical studies and research or anything about the research and development they claim to have put into their products, we believe this is a reputable company and if you can afford the expense go for it. Otherwise, it is a good idea to find a product with full ingredient listings, containing proven ingredients and offering a better price for a smaller budget.
