Overivew
RezV is an oral supplement that claims to offer consumers a wide range of benefits, including fighting against several symptoms of aging and helping with weight loss. Unlike many wrinkle-fighting products we review, RezV comes in a pill form. Recently, several high-profile studies on the plant extract RezVeratrol have landed this ingredient, along with supplements like RezV, in the media spotlight. RezVeratrol is part of the immune system of several plants, and it is also found in the skin of red grapes that are used to make red wine. The idea of incorporating red wine into a healthy lifestyle may be one of the contributing factor’s to RezVeratrol’s instant popularity.
Unfortunately, finding concrete information on RezV, it’s manufacturers, and legitimate retailers, has proven to be somewhat difficult. Perhaps looking to capitalize on the popularity of RezVeratrol, we found dozens of different websites selling RezV, or name variations such as “RezV Max” and “RezV Plus.” What we didn’t find was any reliable information on who manufactures this product, or on who developed the formulation. Of course, this makes us a bit hesitant to get excited about this product.
Product Details
Reports on RezVeratrol have appeared everywhere from Fox News to Fortune Magazine, but one important thing to remember is that the clinical studies everyone is getting so excited about have, as of this review, been confined to lab rats and mice. This means that there’s a long way to go before there are any proven human benefits from supplements like RezV. We found dozens of “free trial” offers of this product, but it was difficult to determine how much a bottle of RezV tablets will cost you, and we found prices differing dramatically between $14 to $64. Many of the websites selling RezV also featured prominent graphics of red wine, which we interpreted as a not-so-subliminal marketing attempt to try and sell these pills to red wine enthusiasts.
The Good
- Initial research on RezVeratrol, the main active ingredient in RezV, indicate that it could help with a wide range of health and fitness concerns.
- RezV is available from numerous online vendors, sometimes with a free trial.
The Bad
- Though much hype has been spent on RezVeratrol, the truth is that many of the studies mentioned were performed on lab animals and have little viable human application.
- Difficult to discover who actually manufactures RezV.
- Many websites selling RezV “for free” offered little information on the company or individuals behind the site.
- RezV does nothing to boost collagen production, which is a proven way to treat wrinkles.
The Bottom Line
We would really need to see a lot more legitimate research on RezVeratrol before we could get too excited about RezV. While it certainly looks promising, research on this ingredient is still in its infancy. The proliferation of different oral supplements concerns us, however, since it seems fairly unregulated at the time of this writing. While we found numerous RezV supplements for sale, it was difficult to find one main manufacturer, and many websites selling RezV were selling different pills bottled under a confusing number of names, like “Vital-RezV” or RezV Plus” Instead of buying the hype, we would probably keep an interested eye on RezVeratrol in the news and look for the results of more relevant studies. But for a wrinkle treatment right now, we would recommend a product proven to boost the body’s collagen production, which is one of the only known ways to smooth wrinkles.
