Reviva Labs Review

This Website takes a close look at a variety of products in the health & beauty industry. The source content for this site comes from information available to the public. This Website and its writers are sponsored by Rauscher Bekke, the makers of Dermapril-SP. The information on this site is intended to educate and inform consumers.

Overview

Reviva Labs is a fairly small company if you compare it to Lancome or some of the other industry giants in the health and beauty arena, but it has been producing quality skin care products for over 30 years. Reviva Labs has never engaged in animal testing and claims to be the company that first introduced elastin to America. Many other companies will claim to have done the same things so it's hard to form an opinion in these areas without some kind of concrete proof.

Reviva Labs seems to be available for purchase in whole foods stores and select salons, so it may be hard to find them in your area. But if you do, you will see a very wide range of products. Reviva Labs offers everything from Seaweed Soap to Alpha Lipoic Acid based creams to anti-aging and lifting products.

Product Details

The problem you will notice right away while visiting the Reviva Labs website is that they offer very little information on their products. It's hard to tell what exactly is being marketed as an anti-aging product. There are no ingredients listed anywhere on the website and the product descriptions are only a small paragraph located underneath a picture of the product container. We'd think a company in business for over 30 years would provide a little bit more information about its products for its customers. The prices are reasonable as the Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester & DMAE Cream is only $14.00 for 4 ounces.

The official Reviva Labs website does have a “free offers” area that requires you to put in your address so you can receive small samples and a newsletter, so that might be worth looking into before purchasing their products.

The Good

  • Reviva Labs official website has something called a “Skindex” which will help you determine what products might be right for you.
  • You can receive free samples and a newsletter from Reviva Labs.

The Bad

  • There are no ingredients listed anywhere on the website and the descriptions are minimal.
  • You will have to order the products online or go to a health food store to purchase anything. Department stores don't carry this brand.
  • There are no clinical trials posted on the official website.

The Bottom Line

Reviva Labs has a nice website but it lacks a lot of information on the products. There is a discussion forum, which most beauty sites don't have so you can ask questions and hear from people who have used the products. There are some testimonials posted and that is also nice. The biggest problem we have with these products is the overall lack of information. While the products are fairly inexpensive, we would have liked to see a full ingredients list and some clinical trial results.

Top Choice for 2008:  Dermapril-SP

Dermapril-SP was our favorite product to introduce, with a patented formula and visible results after only two weeks of use. Matrixyl 3000™, the patented active ingredient in Dermapril-SP, is backed by a clinical study showing a reduction in appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by 44%.

Dermapril-SP is based on research into the mechanisms that enable younger skin to appear firmer, tighter and more supple than older people's skin. The treatment helps the skin regain a more youthful appearance by accelerating the natural production of three building blocks: Collagen, Fibronectin and Hyaluronic Acid. The result is a rapid rejuvenation and a dramatically reduced appearance of wrinkles and other signs of age caused by sun exposure, smoking, stress, hormonal changes and other common factors.

Frequent reported benefits include immediate tightening and firming; smoother, softer skin; diminished appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; and rejuvinated, glowing skin. Dermapril-SP is the only product on the market that combines patented Matrixyl 3000™ and green-tea extracts in a hydrating cream. Based on the high cost and quality of the ingredients, Dermapril-SP is reasonably priced. Customer satisfaction is high and Dermapril-SP offers a free trial, so that customers can fully evaluate the product prior to purchasing it.
