There is an official website for the German skincare company Reviderm which was founded in 1986. We are told that there is a head office in Oberhaching in South Munich. There are also offices in Austria and Switzerland. The official website tells us that Reviderm is a market leader in the field of Microdermabrasion.

Product Features

The Reviderm official website tells us that the Reviderm Microdermabrasion is a professional skin peeling system which rejuvenates the skin, as well as repairing damaged skin and reducing hyperpigmentation. We are told that you can only access a Reviderm Microdermabrasion treatment via a specially trained Aesthetician. You can also access the Reviderm Microdermabrasion treatment in Reviderm Spas in Europe. The official website is not clear as to whether the Reviderm Microdermabrasion System can be accessed outside Europe. Of course skin peeling treatments are not suitable for everyone. They are especially not suitable for anyone who has sensitive skin. Also the official website for the Reviderm Microdermabrasion system does not provide us with any evidence to show that the Reviderm Microdermabrasion system is superior to other microdermabrasion systems. Often skin peeling and microdermabrasion systems use substances such as Glycolic acid and AHAS. The official website does not provide any information as to the overall makeup of the Reviderm Microdermabrasion system. AHAs can make the skin more sensitive to UV rays. They can also include side effects such as stinging and burning sensations on the skin. Of course undergoing regular microdermabrasion treatments can work out expensive, and they are not within everybody’s budget. Some anti aging creams can be just as effective on signs of aging, and clinical trials have shown that ingredients such as Matrixyl 3000 can have a positive effect on aging.

The Good

  • There is an official website for Reviderm.
  • The Reviderm Microdermabrasion system can be accessed through Reviderm spas.
  • The official website gives contact details should you wish to contact a representative of the company.

The Bad

  • We felt that there were only sparse details available on the makeup of the Reviderm Microdermabrasion system.
  • The Reviderm Microdermabrasion system is not the only microdermabrasion system available.
  • Microdermabrasion treatments are not always suitable for those who have sensitive skin.
  • Regular microdermabrasion treatments are not within everybody’s budget.

The Bottom Line

We felt that the official website for Reviderm could have given a little more detailed information regarding the Reviderm microdermabrasion system and whether it can be accessed outside Europe. Also we have no evidence that the Reviderm Microdermabrasion system is superior to other microdermabrasion systems available and so we cannot recommend it over and above other microdermabrasion systems available.
