Replexion is an anti-aging product that comes loaded with active ingredients and patented peptides. Replexion is manufactured by a lab with the same name, and the product takes the collagen production approach to fighting the aging process. This cream claims to use a blend of active ingredients to ultimately stimulate the body’s own collagen product, which should have skin looking firmer and plumper. Collagen is a substance naturally produced by the body that hydrates the skin and keeps it looking young. As we age, our natural collagen production rate declines. Many products found on the rapidly expanding anti-aging skin care market aim to either simulate the body’s own collagen product or to somehow replace lost collagen.

Unfortunately, Replexion’s blend of patented ingredients will leave your wallet a bit lighter. According to the official Replexion website, a one-month supply of the cream will set you back $200. What, exactly, do users get for the big money? Replexion is a one-step cream that that is packed full of molecularly engineered peptides. Each of these peptides, the company claims, acts to stimulate your body’s production of substances that occur naturally in youthful skin. Replexion is intended for morning and evening use and results are expected to become apparent within one month of initial use. Apply Replexion to an already clean face (using your normal cleanser seems to be fine.)

Product Details

So let’s take a closer look at these peptides. Many anti-aging products on the market today contain at least one peptide, often manufactured by a third-party lab and licensed for inclusion in the product. The full list of active ingredients found in Replexion reads as follows: Argireline, Palmitoyl oligopeptide, Palmitoyl pentapeptide, Hyaluronic acid and Retinyl palmitate.

Argirelene is a fairly well-documented ingredient. Its primary effect is to mimic the muscle-relaxing effects of Botox, the theory being that muscle contractions lead to fine lines and wrinkles. Of course, Argirelene does produce exactly the same quality results as Botox, but it has been thoroughly researched.

Hyaluronic acid is another common anti-aging product ingredient. It is a naturally occurring moisturizing agent in the skin. Upping your Hyaluronic acid intake should lead to a softer, smoother skin tone.

The Good

  • The makers of Replexion offer a money-back guarantee with their product.
  • Replexion offers a discount on bulk orders.
  • Replexion contains the well-researched peptide Argirelene.

The Bad

  • At $200 for a one month supply, this is one of the most expensive anti-aging products that we’ve looked at. Price could prove prohibitive and make this anti-aging regimen difficult to maintain.
  • No ingredient list that includes inactive ingredients is given on the Replexion website.
  • Final results don’t become apparent until after a full month of treatment.
  • We found a lot of info about clinical trials of Replexion’s third-party ingredients, but little info about the development or testing of the Replexion product itself.

The Bottom Line

Do the many patented ingredients found in Replexion justify its serious price tag? There’s no doubt that this is a luxury skin care product. We do believe in several of the individual ingredients found in this product, but we can’t help but point out that many are available cheaper in other products as well. We’d need a little more info before we parted with the $200 that Replexion is asking for.
