Renewist is one of the latest offerings from the cosmetics giant Revlon. Unlike many products that we have reviewed, Revlon Renewist focuses specifically on the lips. Also, Renewist appears to be more of a typical cosmetic product, although it does claim to have collagen promoting ingredients. Specifically, this lipstick is claimed to feature a “patent-pending ProCollagen core.” Unfortunately, few details are given regarding the actual make-up for this unique feature, but reviews of the lipstick seem to skew positive. Benefits derived from Renewist’s ProCollagen Core include instant moisturizing and a reduction in any fine lines or wrinkles around the lips. Also, Renewist claims to “gradually” increase lip fullness over long periods of use.

Renewist comes in a range of 24 different shades, which should make it pretty easy to find one you like. It’s also sold all over, in drug stores and department stores, and it is available for order online from the official Revlon website. Little other information is given on the product’s page on this site, however.

Product Details

All shades of Renewist come with an SPF rating of 15, which could be a nice feature. Revlon claims that Renewist’s unique ProCallgen Core will actually boost collagen in a user’s lips by 80%, making them plumper and more textured. However, there are no testimonials on the official website to support these claims. If it works as claimed, the idea behind Renewist is that it can take the place of a user’s normal lip balm or lip moisturizer, meaning that only one product is needed for both lip care and lip color. However, clearly this product will do nothing for facial wrinkles. Also, it is primarily a cosmetic product.

The Good

  • Renewist is a new product from a major cosmetics brand.
  • Renewist comes in 24 different colors, making it likely that anyone can find one they like.
  • Renewist lip treatments come with an SPF of 15.

The Bad

  • Obviously, this will not help with wrinkles or fine lines.
  • This is more of a cosmetic offering than a wrinkle fighting product.
  • Not all users may wish to apply cosmetics daily.
  • Will primarily conceal wrinkles, not treat them in the long-term.

The Bottom Line

Renewist lip treatments look to us like they could make a decent piece of an overall beauty and skin care regimen. Revlon does not advertise this product as a wrinkle fighter, so we have no reason to believe that users will see diminished wrinkles and fine lines as a result of use. However, as a combination moisturizer and lip color, Renewist could work. Also, it is reportedly affordable, averaging at $8 per tube. Incorporate Renewist with a more focused topical wrinkle cream in order to establish an effective and comprehensive beauty routine.

Hydrolyze Bottle

(Optional- For Enhanced Results): Hydrolyze

Editor's Review: 4.6 / 5.0

After looking at so many anti-aging treatments, we've seen that the delicate skin around the eyes can be a real problem area for many people. Dark circles can make you look years older, and for some people even a good night's sleep won't make them go away. That's why we were so excited to find Hydrolyze, which has been formulated by industry experts specifically as an under-eye treatment. The makers of Hydrolyze are so confident in their product that they offer potential users a Risk Free Trial so they can see the results for themselves. Hydrolyze contains the break-through ingredient Haloxyl, which has been shown to reduce under-eye discoloration between 40%-60% in a clinical case study.
