Renew Intensive Skin Therapy is just one of the many beauty products produced by Melaleuca. It does not claim to reduce the signs of aging or appearance of wrinkles through the renewal of skin cells. Its main product focus is based on healing and caring for extreme cases of dry skin because the lotion is very quickly absorbed into the skin. Because the lack of moisture in the skin is one of the main contributors to the aging appearance of skin, it may help by addressing that issue, but more will be needed for anti-aging benefit. In addition to caring for intensely dry skin, this product is said to work as an effective bug repellent, as well.

Product Features

The ingredients in this formula are: Deionized Water, Glycerin USP, Petrolatum USP and Melaleuca Oil. The Melalecua oil works to help the skin hold more of its own moisture, fight bacterial infections including acne, viral infections such as cold sores, and even fungal infections such as athlete’s foot. Melalcua Oil even works as a non-chemically based anti-itch medication similar to Benadyrl and doesn’t carry the risks associated with the medication.

This product will not be effective for someone who is looking to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and other signs of aging. There is nothing in this product that will help wrinkles soften, and this product does not claim to be effective against aging signs.

The Good

  • The main ingredient of Melalcua Oil may provide excellent skin moisturization to assist with the treatment of dry skin conditions.
  • This product is inexpensive and therefore becomes an option for a larger consumer base.

The Bad

  • The official website lacks clinical research or studies to show the effectiveness of the product.
  • There are no before and after photos to help consumers see the effectiveness of the product.
  • This product is not meant to serve as an effective anti-aging treatment.

The Bottom Line

Consumers looking for a treatment that will reduce acne problems and aid in dryness have found a product that may work wonders for them, as this will keep the skin moisturized and fight against various types of infection. Those that are looking for an effective anti-aging treatment that will reduce the appearance of wrinkles and age spots should keep looking for another product because there is nothing in this product that will address those issues. In looking for the right wrinkle reducer for you, make sure you see ingredients such as collagen or Hyaluronic Acid and make sure to only pay for products whose ingredients will produce the best results. Because Melalcua Oil is not a commonly seen ingredient in skincare products, the company would be much better off releasing more information and even clinical studies about the effectiveness of Melacua Oil.
