Remy Laure Skin Care Review

The Remy Laure Skin Care introduced its French line of beauty products over 35 years ago. The products were originally derived from a one hundred percent Bio-Mineral called “Le Moor” meaning “the black mask”. The therapeutic properties found in “Le Moor” have been used for over 2000 years prior to the introduction of the ingredient in the Remy Laure Skin Care line. Remy Laure Skin Care boasts that they are the first to offer beauty treatments made from “mud”. Today the company produces products for the face and body for all skin types. The company promotes the products as being chemical, perfume and synthetic chemical free and that they never test products on animals.

Product Review

The Remy Laure Skin Care collection has created many products including several that are designed as anti-aging formulas. One of the products is Tenseur Youth C Cream, infused with what the official website calls a “cocktail” of vitamins that work to combat the signs of aging while firming and tightening the facial skin. Although the full list of ingredients remains undisclosed by Remy Laure, some of the ingredients listed are Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Vitamin F. Vitamins C and E are commonly found in many skin care products. Vitamin C is said to have moisturizing properties as well as being able to protect the skin from sun damage. Vitamin E has been used in hydration and in treating & improving the appearance of scars. Vitamin A is known in the skin care world as Retinol. Retinol works to peel away the top layers of the epidermis to reveal the newer, younger-looking skin underneath. This may also be an effective way to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Retinol has been associated with dryness, redness and skin sensitivity. An SPF lotion is usually advised when using a Retinol based skin care product.

The Good

  • Remy Laure products are readily available online through various retail websites.
  • Remy Laure products contain natural antioxidants.

The Bad

  • The official website is in French and is difficult to navigate.
  • The complete lists of product ingredients in Remy Laure formulas are unknown.
  • It appears that Remy Laure products do not contain advanced anti-aging ingredients such as Matrixyl-3000 and Hyaluronic Acid.

The Bottom Line

The Remy Laure Skin Care line may be appealing for those looking for a French brand however, the line seems to be lacking advanced anti-aging ingredients that many consumers desire. The full list of ingredients cannot be verified nor can the claims be substantiated due to the official website being written in French. There are a number of anti-aging skin care products available in the market place. For a skin care line to be successful, accessibility is key. Consumers today want an easy online, well informed buying experience without the hassle of having to search for long periods of time for what they want. It would be helpful if companies, particularly international companies, would make their websites available in an English format so one can easily understand the information and make a well informed buying decision.

  1. Okay, so I am going to check the French website and see the how I can navigate. I am primarily concerned about the ingredients used in the products. My masseuse (amazingly intuitive by the way) uses Remy Laure products and claims wonderful things. Nous verrons bien! Merci de prendre le temps de me lire.
