Rejuvinol is an anti-aging skin care product from the manufacturer Dermalogic. Rejuvinol is intended to be used in conjunction with Dermalogic’s other product, Rejuvox. While Rejuvox is the nighttime component of the Dermalogic regimen, Rejuvinol is advertised as a daytime moisturizer. Rejuvinol is intended to be used in the morning, after users wash up with their normal cleanser products. The manufacturers claim that this moisturizing product will reduce the signs of aging by using hydration technology. However, for ideal anti-aging results, users are recommended to dutifully follow the Rejuvinol/Rejuvox regimen laid out by Dermalogic.
This product, like many others that we look at, claims to give users spa treatment results without the invasive needles. Rejuvinol claims to treat common signs of aging, including crow’s feat and fine lines around the eyes.
Rejuvinol boasts the ingredient Hyluronic acid as it’s primary active component. This ingredient is a known moisturizer, and can be found in many beauty products on the market today. Hyluronic acid occurs naturally in human skin. Rejuvinol also boasts the inclusion of the patented Argirelene peptide. This ingredient is manufactured by a third-party European laboratory, and it has shown some promise at imitating the muscle-relaxing effects of Botox injections. Finally, Rejuvinol appears to contain parabens, which are a cheap synthetic preservative used in many beauty creams and other products. Unfortunately, parabens have proven irritating to some users with sensitive skin.
The full list of Rejuvinol AM ingredients is as follows: Purified Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate, Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 (Argireline), Green Tea Extract (leaf), Chamomile Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Korean Ginseng Extract (root), Olive Extract (leaf), Octyl Methoxy Cinnamate, Sunflower Oil, Dimethicone, Ethylhexyl Benzoate, Stearic Acid, Fragrance, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben. The Bottom Line
It looks to us that Argirelene is just about the only ingredient that sets Rejuvinol apart from a standard drugstore moisturizer. Given the amount of third-party research that has been done about this one ingredient, we do believe that users will see some positive results after using any product that contains the peptide. However, Rejuvinol also contains several synthetic ingredients that could irritate some users. These users may wish to look for a more natural anti-aging product that also contains Argirelene..
