Prada is a company that is known primarily for its high end fashion, but has also branched out into other areas like cosmetics and fragrances, which brings us to Prada Skincare. Where there are cosmetics, skin care often soon follows, and Prada has come out with an entire line of skin care products for all ages and skin types. For the purpose of this review, we will take a closer look at two Prada Skincare products that appear to be geared toward the anti-aging market; the Prada Reviving Bio-Firm Concentrate and Reviving Bio-Firm Moisture.

The Prada Reviving Bio-Firm Moisture is a cream designed for daytime wear, so it provides an SPF 15 in the formula. The Prada Reviving Bio-Firm Concentrate is touted as a “silky night cream” by some online retailers. Both of these Prada Skincare products claim to hydrate the skin for a more beautiful appearance. The Bio-Firm Moisture also says that it will improve collagen production, plump skin and leave skin smoother and brighter. The Bio-Firm Concentrate states that it will firm skin, even out skin tone and diminish the visible signs of aging. The Prada website does not seem to provide any information about their skin care lines, so we were unable to find complete ingredient lists, customer testimonials or money back guarantees on either of these products. Considering the price of these products; $130 for the night concentrate and $95 for the day cream, we would hope for more information about Prada Skincare to help us make an educated purchase.

Product Details

The main ingredient that we found in either of these Prada Skincare products was a bio-firm complex that is said to instantly plump your skin by enhancing collagen production. We do know that the day formula contains an SPF as well, which is always a positive in a day cream. The concentrate also claims to include a “micro encapsulated vitamin complex” to help protect skin. Without further information about the ingredients, it is difficult for us to determine whether the products will have the desired results. It is also a risk for many to purchase products without knowing the full ingredient list, since irritation and allergic reactions can occur with some substances.

• The day cream contains an SPF.

The Bad

• There is very little information available on these products.
• The products are very expensive.
• There is no evidence that either of these products contain proven anti-aging ingredients.

The Bottom Line

Loyal Prada customers may want to give the Prada Skincare Reviving Bio-Firm products a try. However, with a lack of information available in terms of ingredients, customer testimonials and money back guarantee policies, we would urge consumers to use caution in purchasing these products. It seems to us that Prada may be simply trying to hop aboard the skin care bandwagon and cashing in on the manufacturer’s luxury reputation with their Prada Skincare line.
