Palmer’s is one of the biggest names in the skin care business. Based in the United States out of New York, NY under the E.T. Browne Drug Company name – this multi-national company was established more than 150 years ago. The consumer should know, however, that time in the field of skin care does not mean a better product. As a matter of fact, some of the newer product lines have more to offer in terms of anti-aging than the old faithful products.
There is an established consumer website for all of the Palmer’s products. This website contains contact information, product information, store locators and product purchases.
Product Features
There are so many Palmer’s products that listing information on each and every product would take days. In terms of antiaging and antiwrinkle products there are a few that stand out above all others. Dr. Palmer’s RX Oil is a spray on product with Vitamin E. There is no complete listing of ingredients, but the description claims the product can be used on wrinkles. The spray retails for $11.99.
Another product used for anti-aging is the Palmer’s Skin Success Anti Aging Kit which retails for $13.99. The kit contains Eye Lift Serum, Age Spot Serum, Face Lift Serum and Skin Stress Cream. Ingredients in these products include Merinox-C, Retinyl Palmitate, Vitamin C Palmitate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Haloxyl, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Kojic Dipalmitate Complex, Green Tea Extract, Gorgonian Extract and Azelosometm. This may seem like a long list of ingredients, but each product in the kit is sold as an individual cream for use outside the anti-aging kit.
There are some good ingredients used in some of these products and the price is great for an anti-aging kit, but there are no testimonials on the website and no scientific support for any of the claims or ingredients. This is a huge let down to the consumer who would love to buy an entire anti-aging kit for less than $20.00.
The Good
- Palmer’s offers more than 150 years of experience.
- The products are inexpensive.
- All Palmer’s products can be purchased online.
- Active ingredients are disclosed.
The Bad
- No testimonials are offered to support the use of Palmer’s products.
- Only active ingredients are listed – this could mean skin irritation for some users.
- Palmer’s does not offer free samples of their products.
- Returns are often handled through offline retailers – no official return policy is noted online.
The Bottom Line
For the price of the anti-aging skin care kit by Palmer’s, the consumer may think they can jump in and try these products. But in the anti-aging game, time is of the essence and trying a product that is not proven to work is just a waste of time. If there was real proof the prodcut worked, Palmer’s would be posting their experiences and pictures on their website.
