Natural Advantage Skin Care Review

Natural Advantage skin care was created by Dr. Patricia Farris, a Dermatologist with over 15 years experience in skin care, along with British actress Jane Seymour. It is a skin care line patented for its use of Retinol and “MicroSponge” system. MicroSponge is marketed as a delivery system that works day and night to regenerate new skin cells by slowly delivering Retinol, Alpha Hydroxy Acids and fruit acids to the skin. The claim is that Natural Advantage will visibly diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduce the appearance of age spots, and enhance the skins tone and texture.

Product Details

Natural Advantage is marketed as a three-product anti-aging system designed to work together to deliver safe and visible results. Natural Advantage contains Retinol, a fat soluble form of Vitamin A. Studies have shown that the over-use of Retinol can dry out the skin and possibly cause irritation, so Natural Advantage may not be right for everyone. The starter kit contains Natural Advantage Daily Cleansing Gel, Natural Advantage All Day Moisture with SPF 15, Natural Advantage Nightime Renewal Complex and a sample size of Natural Advantage Ultimate Hydration. The official Natural Advantage website claims to have done an independent clinical study boasting that 95% of the women in the study experienced improvements in as little as 14 days. The website does list several customer testimonials that claim to have had positive results from using the Natural Advantage system.

The Good

  • The products contain Retinol which is a proven ingredient in anti-aging products.
  • Natural Advantage offers a sixty day money back guarantee if not completely satisfied with the results.

The Bad

  • The full list of ingredients is not available on the official Natural Advantage website.
  • The main ingredient in Natural Advantage is Retinol which can be an irritant for many people.
  • Natural Advantage products are not available through other venues such as department stores.

The Bottom Line

Natural Advantage may appeal to consumers looking for a non-surgical alternative to pricy cosmetic procedures such as Botox injections. The Natural Advantage skin care system claims that their “MicroSponge” delivery system is what sets then apart form other anti-aging skin care products, but very little is mentioned on the website about this technology. The main ingredient in the Natural Advantage skin care line is Retinol which has been known to cause over-drying and produce skin irritation in individuals with sensitive skin. Retinol is a common ingredient found in many anti-aging products however there are newer and safer ingredients on the market such as Matrixyl 3000 which has been clinically proven to increase collagen production and aid in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. It would be helpful if the Natural Advantage product line were available through venues other than the company’s own website, making for a more positive buying experience.

  1. About 8 years ago I used Natural Advantage and LOVED the results. My large pores were refined, my skin looked clearer, and definitely younger. It took me a while to re-order because it was expensive, but I was glad when I did.

Unfortunately however this time, the product made my skin very red. Last year I was diagnosed with mild rosacea . Perhaps this is why the product did not work as well for me. Perhaps the onset of menopause changed my body chemistry. Perhaps you changed the formula . Whatever the reason, it saddened me to not get the same results as before.

I continue to use the product I have sporadically, once every few weeks. The effect , of course is not the same. I was wondering if the doctors who developed this have any ideas about how it could work with my skin now. I don’t know if the company is still in touch with them to find out for me. If so , I would love to hear about how I might still use the product.

  2. I would like to try the peel but don’t want to spend a lot if it doesn’t work.
Could you send me a sample to see if I like it?
