Overview

As a company, MD Formulations has been around for at least 20 years. While we are given no background information other than that, we are told that MD Formulations is “at the cutting edge” of cosmeceuticals. The website also has a lot of Bare Escentuals wording too, and it seems that they manufacture this product as well.

There are several lines of skin care products listed on the MD Formulations website. We are focusing solely on the MD Formulations Anti-Aging kit they have available.

The Good

• It’s refreshing to see a website put all the ingredients on there site for your browsing pleasure.
• There’s a line of MD Formulations products for every skin type. There is also a line for body care and a line for men.
• The products aren’t outrageously expensive. The kits can become pricey, but they do offer a better value when bought together than separately.

The Bad

• We don’t have any real background on MD Formulations and what separates them from other manufacturers of anti-wrinkle products.
• All MD Formulations products seem to contain parabens, which are linked to irritation especially in sensitive skin types.
• The website has a link to clinical studies, but when you click on it, it takes you to information about your skin instead of any real studies involving MD Formulations. We could not find any directly related studies on the site.

The Bottom Line

The MD Formulations skin care line seems to offer all kinds of different options, which is what everyone likes. However, we would really like to see more info about the MD Formulations company itself. All of their products seem to contain a lot of synthetic ingredients, but few proven wrinkle-fighting peptides. Be careful using these products, especially if you have sensitive skin.
