Skin care companies approach the problem of wrinkle reduction in different ways. Some products fill the wrinkles in like spackling, some injectible products like Botox temporarily paralyze facial muscles, and some creams and serums contain ingredients that stimulate the body to regenerate skin. LiftFusion is a hybrid product and therefore deserves a more thorough look. LiftFusion bills itself as a painless yet instant alternative to injectible treatments like Botox. This is an interesting claim as most creams and serums take up to 30 days to show visible results. We will take a closer look at LiftFusion’s ingredients below to see if it might be able to live up to its claims.

LiftFusion carries the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval which only goes to products that are thoroughly tested, although not necessarily clinically-tested. LiftFusion has received a fair amount of good press recently and the website also contains some customer testimonials and before and after pictures, which we always like to see included. Customers can purchase LiftFusion directly from the manufacturer’s website but we see no indication of a satisfaction guarantee or available product samples.

Product Details

LiftFusion claims that it provides Botox-like results in ten minutes. In reviewing its list of ingredients, we count around three dozen. Some consumers may think that the more ingredients that are in a product, the more likely it is to be effective. However, this is rarely the case in the skin care arena. If the active ingredients are formulated correctly, the product needs little else. What we do find in LiftFusion is the reason why it claims such immediate results. LiftFusion contains amino butyric acid, more commonly recognized as GABA. GABA inhibits muscular neurotransmitters, and this has a similar paralyzing effect to Botox. When facial muscles, especially around the forehead, eyes and lips, are forced to relax, wrinkles in the skin above the muscles also relax and skin appears smoother.

LiftFusion also contains a number of peptides that are able to deeply penetrate the skin, stimulate collagen and elastin production, and smooth and firm sagging skin. We like to see peptides in anti-wrinkle formulations however we prefer clinically-proven ones like Matrixyl 3000 and Argiriline.

The Good

  • Contains peptides.
  • Works quickly to relax facial muscles.
  • Available for purchase on manufacturer’s website.

The Bad

  • Expensive ($140) when compared to competitive products.
  • No money-back guarantee or product samples available.
  • No links apparent to clinical trials supporting the effectiveness of the product.
  • Effect on muscles is short-lived.

The Bottom Line

LiftFusion is making quite a buzz in the anti-aging war. We like several things about this product, however, it is difficult to recommend a skin care product whose manufacturer does not stand behind it with a money-back guarantee. We prefer products with collagen and peptides like Matrixyl 3000 and Argiriline as they provide longer-lasting regenerative effects on the skin. Keep in mind that if you purchase LiftFusion and are not happy with it, you may not be able to get your money back.
