Lavera was founded in 1987 by Thomas Haase. Mr. Haase had dermatitis since he was a toddler and grew up using topical creams made from synthetic ingredients. He suffered many different skin irritations and as he got older he decided it was time to create a better product for himself, as well as for others with sensitive skin. Lavera means “the truth” and this name is claimed to be a representation of the company’s commitment to use very pure and organic ingredients.

Lavera has a complete line of products that were specifically created to care for people who suffer from allergies and have sensitive skin. The official Lavera website claims that Lavera was ranked #1 in 2008 by a consumer reporting magazine, Oeko-Test, based in Germany. Lavera’s official website uses a different approach when it comes to recommending skin care regimens for potential users. They have anti-aging and skin care regimens for skin 30 and up, 40 and up, and 50 and up. There are many different categories on the Lavera website that range from bath to hair to makeup products. There is even a men’s category.

Product Details

As far as the anti-aging department goes, Lavera offers a few different products under the product line Lavere. These include lifting serums, cleansers, moisturizers, and creams. Let’s take a closer look at the Lifting Serum Hydro-Gel.

The Lifting Serum Hydro-Gel claims to improve the firmness of skin by over 90%. This product contains many different anti-oxidants as well as hyaluronic acid to help moisturize the skin and fight free radicals at the same time.

Though the ingredients aren’t listed on the official website, they are posted on third party sites. The Lavere Lifting Serum Hydro-Gel contains: Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Sodium Lactate, Glycerin, Alcohol, Saccharide Isomerate, Glucose Glutamate, Lecithin, Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Rhizobian Gum, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xantham Gum, Fragrance (Parfum), Benzyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool.

The Good

  • All natural and organic ingredients are featured in Lavera products.
  • Very thorough website that goes into great detail about the history and goals of Lavera.
  • Many different products available in various categories.

2

The Bad

  • No full ingredient lists are posted for the products.
  • Some products are quite expensive. The Lifting Serum Hydro-Gel is $89 for less than one ounce.
  • No money back guarantee on the official website.
  • No free trial is available on the official website.

The Bottom Line

The use of all natural ingredients and having products specifically designed for those with allergies and sensitive skin is very nice. The website is very informative and states Lavera’s goals and passions clearly. The ingredients should be prominently listed, but Lavera only seems to hint at what is in each product. We like how specialized Lavera products are and the fact that they use all natural ingredients, but it might be a good idea to find some anti-aging products that utilize some of today’s more potent wrinkle fighters and have cutting edge peptides clearly posted in the product ingredient lists.

Editor's Review: 4.8 / 5.0

After looking at literally hundreds of wrinkle reduction and prevention treatments, Nue Science Cell Revival is our top choice. This product offers customers a Risk-Free Trial, and makes sure to both repair and protect the skin with Matrixyl 3000 for collagen and Uniprotect-PT-3 for UV protection. No other formula that we've seen takes such a holistic approach to skin care. Matrixyl 3000 is a clinically proven and patented wrinkle-fighting peptide, while Uniprotect-PT-3 is one of the most advanced sun protectors currently on the market. User testimonials on how a formula works says it all, and the Nue Science website provides ample proof. Hydrolyze Bottle

(Optional- For Enhanced Results): Hydrolyze

Editor's Review: 4.6 / 5.0

After looking at so many anti-aging treatments, we've seen that the delicate skin around the eyes can be a real problem area for many people. Dark circles can make you look years older, and for some people even a good night's sleep won't make them go away. That's why we were so excited to find Hydrolyze, which has been formulated by industry experts specifically as an under-eye treatment. The makers of Hydrolyze are so confident in their product that they offer potential users a Risk Free Trial so they can see the results for themselves. Hydrolyze contains the break-through ingredient Haloxyl, which has been shown to reduce under-eye discoloration between 40%-60% in a clinical case study. By offering consumers a way to erase the dark circles and wrinkles that often occur under the eyes, Hydrolyze is revolutionizing the skincare industry. >> Read more about Hydrolyze Go

I don’t like this review at all, especially the comment about “some of today’s more potent wrinkle fighters”. These wrinkle fighters can harm more than actually help. If one looks at the ingredients of most creams (L’oreal, Simple, Dove etc.) they all contain PPGs, PEGs, Parabens and chemicals that are used in drain cleaners. People buy Lavera Products because they don’t contain any chemicals and people know they can use the products without harming their bodies (for example parabens are linked to breat cancer). The products are a bit more expensive than Nivea, L’oreal etc. but still cheaper than Lancome or Helena Rubinstein. And I think it is worth it spending a few Euro/USD more on something that is of high quality and that doesnt harm my body. I have tried several Lavera Products and I am very happy with them.
