A number of the anti-aging products in the Jevelle range contain Alpha Hydroxy Acids as major active ingredients. Unfortunately these ingredients are not suitable for sensitive skin, and even with those who have normal skin, side effects, can include, stinging and burning of the skin as well as skin peeling. Alpha Hydroxy Acids can also increase the sensitivity of the skin to harmful UV rays. Anyone, therefore, who uses an anti-aging product containing Alpha Hydroxy Acids will need to pay particular attention to protect their skin from the sun. Jevelle also manufactures a range of anti-aging products with Vitamin E and Vitamin C as major active ingredients. The official website tells us that the Jevelle Vitamin C Serum contains a stabilized form of Vitamin E and Vitamin C which will diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
We know, of course, that Vitamin C has very beneficial antioxidant properties and it helps with the synthesis of collagen. However the Vitamin C Serum by Jevelle is only one of many anti-aging Vitamin C Serums available for sale on the market. Jevelle also manufactures a Vitamin C Cream with Gingko Biloba. This cream also contains Shea Butter, Rose Hips and Algae. We are told that this cream helps to neutralize free radicals. We know that free radicals play an important part in the aging of the skin.
