Intuit Beauty markets an extensive line of skin care products aimed at the anti-aging market. Intuit Beauty has recently changed the company’s name to Beauty Society. The Intuit Beauty products are sold by affiliates through home parties, like Tupperware or Pampered Chef. The company claims that the products are “irritant free, cruelty free, fragrance free, environmentally friendly, dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested.” However, they fall short of labeling them as non-allergenic.

The Intuit Beauty products are grouped into 5 steps: Cleanse, Resurface, Rebuild and Repair, Moisturize, and Protect. There are roughly two dozen products in the line and the sheer number may be confusing to many consumers. Intuit Beauty offers a 12-month money-back guarantee which we like to see because it shows that the company stands behind its products. There do not appear to be product samples available but it is possible that they can be obtained through a representative.

Product Details

The Intuit Beauty website provides full ingredients lists for all of its products. This is important, not only for those with skin allergies and sensitivities but also to be able to determine if the active ingredients might be effective and if there are any low-quality “fillers” in the products. There are some ingredients that appear in some of the Intuit Beauty products that we like a great deal. Matrixyl is a pentapeptide that has been clinically-proven to stimulate the body’s ability to generate collagen and to reduce fine lines and wrinkle. Hyaluronic acid is also included in several Intuit Beauty products. Hyaluronic acid can hold over 1,000 times its own weight in water and is useful for rehydrating the skin.

Many of the Intuit Beauty products are labeled “now paraben-free” and we also like this feature. Parabens are cosmetic preservatives that are known allergens. Many higher-quality skin care products exclude this ingredient for that reason. Keep in mind that those with allergies and sensitivities should still review the ingredient lists for these products with their doctors or dermatologists before using the products.

The Good

  • Some products contain ingredients that are proven effective on wrinkles.
  • Company offers money-back guarantee.
  • Products do not contain parabens.

The Bad

  • Can only purchase products through a sales representative.
  • The number of products suggests that each individual formulation may not be totally effective.
  • No customer testimonial appear to be available.

The Bottom Line

The Intuit Beauty (or Beauty Society) products appear interesting at first glance. The company has an interesting distribution network in their home-party sales structure, and the products themselves contain some of the most effective ingredients in the anti-aging arena today. However, we do have some reservations about the products. Without knowing the concentrations of the active ingredients or being able to review clinical studies, it is difficult to assess how effective these particular formulations are. We would also prefer to see the company concentrate on a far smaller number of offerings and make each more potent and useful. This would keep the cost of maintaining this regimen down. If you are looking for a wrinkle-reducing product without having to purchase ten different ones, look for a product with ingredients like collagen, Matrixyl 3000 and Argiriline.
