Idebenol is an anti-wrinkle formula developed by Sovage Dermatologic Labs. Idebenol claims that it’s a cosmetic wonder that can transform a woman who is in her 60′s to look like she’s in her 20′s. Idebenol is claimed to aid in rapid skin cell reproduction and target free radicals that lead to the destruction of skin cells. Idebenol is supposedly a “free radical killer” that liberates your skin from free radicals and other environmental pollutants that may cause premature aging. As with other anti-aging formulas, Idebenol was developed to be an alternative to procedures such as Botox.

Idebenol is the new kid on the block in the anti-aging product market. This product was made to deal with all types of common aging issues such as crows feet, skin firming, fine lines, skin elasticity and deep facial wrinkles. Idebenol is advertised as an anti-aging solution to many aging issues that women will face at some time in their lives.

Product Details

Idebenol is a treatment that corrects the common signs of aging like fine lines, discolorations, crows feet and deep wrinkles. This product has a formula that increases skin cell regeneration and eliminates free radicals. Idebenol does not contain a particular active ingredient. It does contain many parabens which have received much negative press as being a potential health hazard and skin irritant.

The full ingredients list for Idebenol is: Water (Aqua), Cyclopentasiloxane, Ethylene/Acrylic Copolymer, Butylene Glycol, Isopentyldiol, Hordeum Distichon (Barley) Extract, Glycereth-26, Methylsilanol Mannuronate, Cetearyl Methicone, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil Unsaponifiables, Behenyl Alcohol, Polyglyceryl-2 Stearate, C30-45 Alkyl Cetearyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Wood Extract, Phellodendron Almurense Bark Extract, Dimethicone Yeast Polysaccharides, Linoleic Acid, Soy (Soybean) Sterols, Soy (Soybean) Phospholipids, Xanthan Gum, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Ferula Assa Foetida Root Extract, Pyrus Communis (Pear) Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Glucosamine HCL, Algae Extract, Yeast Extract (Faex), Urea, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Ehylparaben.

The Good

  • The website has Idebenol available for purchase online.
  • This product helps moisturize the skin.

The Bad

  • The official website doesn’t go into much detail about Idebenol.
  • Fairly Expensive ($109 for a 3.4 ounce tube).
  • Idebenol does nto seem to offer a free trial of the product for first-time users.
  • Money-back return policy is unclear.
  • There aren’t any studies or trials on the website to substantiate Idebenol’s claims.

The Bottom Line

There is a never ending supply of anti-aging products available on the market today and it is difficult to find something full of proven ingredients. The makers of Idebenol make such extreme claims as to how unique and effective their product is that it’s difficult to believe the hype. Idebenol does not appear to have been thoroughly tested to back up these claims of effectiveness and, at $109, it is pretty expensive. It seems that any anti-aging product this expensive should include more known wrinkle fighters in the formula and also have a money back guarantee.

I am now on my second tube and at 63 years old it has literally wiped away my crowsfeet and the lines around the corners of my mouth. It is relatively inexpensive, I paid $33.00 for a 3.4 oz tube. Way cheaper than Clinique which is what I was using and it didn’t work. Try ebay you will be happily surprised.
