Unlike most skincare products that are topical in nature, Glowelle is actually a drink that is designed to give you “radiant skin” with just one serving each day. This product contains all-natural ingredients and is very low in calories. You can purchase 8 oz. ready-to-drink bottles or packets of powder that can be mixed with water or juice. The latter is perfect for when you are on the go and want to carry some Glowelle with you.
There are two different flavors of Glowelle available-Natural Pomegranate Lychee and Natural Raspberry Jasmine. Both pomegranates and raspberries are rich in antioxidants, so it appears that the drinks would be high in those as well.
Product Details
The bottled Glowelle drinks are 100 calories, but the powder packets only have 50. Of course, you must then add the caloric content of whatever beverage you add them to. Antioxidants can be powerful fighting tools against the free radicals (environmental elements) that damage our skin daily. These are what commonly cause wrinkles. However, if you already have wrinkles, taking in antioxidants is not going to diminish those.
Although there are no complete lists of the ingredients used in Glowelle, there are several active ingredients that we do know about–Lycopene, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Quercetin, Seleniu, and Lutein.
Glowelle can purchased online through the company website or through upscale stores such as Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf’s. The typical cost $4-6 per powder packet or $42 for a 6-bottle set of the ready-to-drink bottles.
The Good
- Glowelle is very convenient to use, since everything is already proportioned for the consumer.
- At only 100 calories per serving, Glowelle should not cause any weight gain.
- According to company claims, the ingredients are all natural.
The Bad
- The cost of Glowelle is not cheap, especially if you plan to drink it every day (as recommended).
- There are no customer testimonials rating the drink’s effectiveness or even taste.
- A drink is not likely to produce the same immediate results as a topical treatment, nor will it do much for the wrinkles you may already have.
The Bottom Line
Based on the active ingredients that are listed (others are unknown), Glowelle may give you a boost of energy, but it is unlikely that it will do anything at all for any existing wrinkles. However, if it does contain adequate antioxidants (as its flavors suggest), then it might help prevent your skin from free radical damage in the future. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not have any research or evidence to back this up. Due to the drink’s low-calorie content, it is far better for you than some other drinks, so if you like the flavor and can afford it, drink up! Just don’t expect younger-looking skin within the next week.
