Evan Healy Review

The Evan Healy skin care line was developed with the theory that skin needs to breathe, which is why the line includes all natural ingredients that are certified organic whenever possible. The founder of the company, aesthetician Evan Healy, says that allowing the skin to repair itself through ingredients from nature is the best way to help the skin achieve balance and ward off the effects of aging. The skin care line includes a number of products that are stated to be acceptable for all skin types. These include cleansers, tonics, moisturizers, creams and serums.

The Evan Healy website is fairly easy to navigate and comprehensive in the information it provides about each of the products. We are happy to see that the company has chosen to disclose complete ingredient lists for all of the products, since this allows savvy consumers to make the best choices about their skin care. The products contain numerous herbal extracts, vitamins and other nutrients to feed the skin. However, we believe that women can get these essential nutrients through diet and supplementation and that there are more effective substances that can be used in skin care. It does appear that the company offers a return policy on all purchases, but we could not find any customer testimonials listed on the website.

Product Details

For the purpose of this review, we will look at the Evan Healy Sea Algae Serum. This product claims to replenish skin and is recommended for use with the French Rose Clay product for an anti-aging regimen. The ingredients in the Sea Algae Serum include Sea mineral complex including Hawaiian red marine, laminaria digitata and blue green algae extracts, aloe vera gel, seaweed extract, glycosaminoglycans, honey, soybean protein, green tea, thyme, sea buckthorn, gotu kola, horsetail extracts (silica), vitamin E and pure essential oils of lavender, tea tree, clary sage and geranium.

While we appreciate that Evan Healy provides numerous natural ingredients in this formula, we were disappointed that the mix did not include any proven anti-aging substances. While this serum is to be used to protect and soften skin, we prefer to see hyaluronic acid used for such a purpose. To eliminate lines and wrinkles, we like to see ingredients like argireline and matrixyl added to the mix. This formula is loaded with antioxidants that can protect the skin from damage but won’t do much to reduce or eliminate damage and aging that already exists.

The Good

  • The products are made with all natural ingredients.
  • Evan Healy sells the products on the company website.

The Bad

  • No proven anti-aging ingredients are included in the formula.
  • We were unable to find customer testimonials supporting the effectiveness of the products.
  • There are numerous products available, some with similar formulas, which makes it tricky to figure out which one might be best.

The Bottom Line

If you are strictly looking for skin protection, Evan Healy provides products loaded with antioxidants and other types of nutrients. However, if you are hoping to diminish the signs of aging that have already occurred, we believe that there are more effective formulas available than those in the Evan Healy product line.

  1. I saw evan healy’s line in whole foods and thought I would give it a try. I have been using mychell with good results for 3 yrs now. I am 57 yrs old with some fine lines and some thinning of the skin. Well after using Evan Healy for only two weeks I went back to mychell. I followed all of her instructions, used 3 serums a hydrosol, clay mask and patchuli butter mask. My fine lines got deeper and new lines appered. As wonderful as her line sounds it does not work for maintaing mature skin.

    1. I’m 60 years old and absolutely love Evan Healy’s line of products. Also, I have been an esthetician for over 30 years and I’m tired of all the anti-aging products that promise wrinkle reductions and do not! One only has to
look at Evan Healy beautiful face/skin to note that her products truly do help beautify one’s skin. Thumbs up for Evan Healy & her wonderful products.

  2. BUYER BEWARE–I saw no difference whatsoever with this product. The only reason I purchased this is because it was directly in line with my holistic views. Perhaps the worst part of my experience was the customer service. They were perhaps some of the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. Their response came almost 3 weeks after I inquired! When I called them the representative was cold and very unhelpful. When I presented my problem with the product she offered no solution and seemed unknowledgeable about the product. After presenting all of this to the company they didn’t even apologize! In fact they just never responded. I believe talk is cheap and actions are what matter. That said, their professional conduct was hypocritical in light of their “serene” stance. To quote the back of their Lavender Facial Tonic bottle ” May all beings everywhere be happy and free” UNLESS you have need customer service.

  3. I love this line. It really works for me and I worked for several cosmetic lines in department stores Origins, Chanel & Elizabeth Arden & Clarins. I am a 54 year old diabetic ( premature aging..) eat, hydrate & exercise on a regular basis. I started out using a couple products and added the Sea Algae Serum and I love it!!!
