Epidermx II Review

Overview

Epidermx II is a NaturDerm product sold in the United States. The product claims to treat skin blemishes and the effects of aging. While many antiaging products are lotion in nature, this product focuses more on resurfacing the uppermost layer of skin through the use of dermabrasion. There are certainly fine lines in the claims made about the product. Terms like natural-based and excess preservative free are ways to trick the consumer into reading that the product is all-natural and free from preservatives – which it is not.

There is no official website for the Epidermx II product line. There is a website registered to Epidermx.com, but the website is not in working order at the time of this review. NaturDerm, on the other hand, does have an official website but that website is not in order either. The NaturDerm website directs consumers to an outside website claiming their page is still under construction, but the date on the site reads 2007.

Product Features

The first word of caution about the Epidermx II product is in regards to the seller. The product information is not available from the product manufacturer. This means the consumer will have to trust a third party website for accurate information. Much of this information was found on the Goldport Beauty website.

The ingredients in Epidermx II are Purified Aqueous Extract of: Chamomilla Recutita Matricaria (Chamomile) Extract, Sambucus Canadensis (Elder Flowers), Rosa Canina (Rose Hips) Fruit Extract, Equiseturn Arvense (Horsetail) Leaf Extract and Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Extract, Alumina Crystals (Corundum, alpha, medical-grade), Organic Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Glucoside*, Glyceryl Stearate*, Glycerin*, Organic Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Caprylic Acid, Glycine, Tocopherol (Vitamin E) Natural, Xanthan Gum*, Rosa Canina (Rose Hips) Fruit Oil, Organic Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Essential Oil Blend: Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Organic Citrus Aurantium Dulcis, (Orange) Oil and Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Lavendula Augustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Cocos Nuciferal (Coconut Extract), Mangifera Indica (Mango Extract), Methyl Paraben**, Propyl Paraben**. *Vegetable Derived ** Tree-bark Derived. The Epidermx II claims to work in the same manner as the dermabrasion treatments offered through medical professionals but there are no testimonials supporting this claim or before and after photos regarding the use of this product.

The consumer should be warned that without an official website of any kind, there is little comfort in purchasing this product. There is, however, contact information in the form of an address and phone number to contact the company with questions regarding the product.

The Good

  • The Epidermx Ii is available for sale online.

The Bad

  • There is no official website.
  • There are no testimonials for the products.
  • There is no support for the Epidermx II claims.
  • Too many ingredients may mean irritation and no real effects.
  • Contains parabens which are known to irritate the skin.

The Bottom Line

If there were a few great ingredients in the laundry list used to create Epidermx II, there would be a bright light, but there are none. The product is not a strong competitor in the anti-wrinkle skin care department and the consumer should look for a proven product before choosing the Epidermx II.
