Overview

Elastiderm is a producer of three skin care products, available separately from one another, only through a health care professional. The products include a day cream, a night cream, and a chest and neck cream. The creams are designed to boost the production of collagen and elastin, two naturally occurring chemicals that diminish with age, contributing to the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin. The company claims to use a patented technology that allows the active ingredient in the formula to penetrate the skin for better results. The product claims to add more SNAP into the skin, and suggests users do a SNAP test to see how quickly the skin bounces back after being pinched. Three seconds is the typical SNAP time and continual product use claims to be able to be able to decrease the amount of time it takes for the skin to bounce back.

Product Details

In clinical research that we were unable to verify, 23% of people who used the product saw an increase in the elasticity of the skin in two weeks, while 46% of people who used the product saw an increase in elasticity in nine weeks. 55% of people saw a decrease in wrinkles within four weeks, while 79% of people reported seeing “rapid results” within four weeks and stated they got better results with these products over others on the market. These prescription products do a better job at working on the cellular level than non-prescription alternatives. The products are available as either a cream or a gel. The cream is the better choice if you have dry or normal skin or live in a cool climate. The gel is better for those who have oily skin or live in a warmer client, but ultimately the choice is yours.

The Good

  • The products are safe for all skin types.
  • The company was developed in 1988.
  • The product is available in cream or gel.

The Bad

  • This product claims to be clinically proven, yet we do not see such proven research.
  • We are unable to see any ingredients.
  • This product is only available through a health care professional.
  • It is an expensive venture to purchase all three products.
  • The use of sunscreen is required while using these products.

The Bottom Line

Since these products are only available through a prescription, it is not likely many people will rush right out to a doctor to get them. The good thing is the day cream or gel can be used in place of the night cream or gel and vice versa. While it will help to improve the production of collagen and elastin, this solution is not practical for everyone looking for anti-aging products.
