Ecco Bella is a natural products company that manufactures skin and body care products, supplements, perfumes and room scents. With so many products to market, the consumer may be left to wonder how the company can focus enough attention on each of its products to ensure that they are formulated to be the most effective product that they can be. According to the Ecco Bella website, the company does not use talc, synthetic oils or colorings, animal by-products and most preservatives. The company also claims that its products are not tested on animals and are 70% organic. “Natural” products are currently in style in the skin care industry and companies like Ecco Bella are popping up with increasing frequency. However, we find that the ingredients used by many of these companies simply cannot provide the promised results. In the next section, we will see if this is the case with Ecco Bella.
Ecco Bella products come with a satisfaction guarantee that is rather suspect. In order to get a refund, you must email the company and fill out paperwork. The company will review the request and either approve or deny it. This type of subjective return policy does not give the consumer the confidence needed to invest in an unknown product.
Product Details
The Ecco Bella skin care line includes cleansers, exfoliants, creams and masks. The line is based on vitamins, including lutein, lycopene, astaxanthin, CoQ10, and Vitamins E and C. While we appreciate that certain vitamins can have a beneficial effect on the skin, we believe that other ingredients are crucial for dramatic and long-lasting anti-wrinkle effects. We do like that the Ecco Bella Age-Antidote Day Cream contains hyaluronic acid, which is an ingredient found in top-rated anti-aging products. Hyaluronic acid can hold over 1,000 times its own weight in water and can deeply hydrate the skin.
However, we find that the most effective anti-aging products team hyaluronic acid up with peptides, like Matrixyl 3000 or Argiriline, which stimulate the body’s own production of collagen and elastin and smooth wrinkles by relaxing the underlying facial muscles. It does not appear that either of these ingredients are present in the Ecco Bella skin care products.

Many consumers are attracted to skin care products like Ecco Bella that are labeled “all natural”, believing that the alternative is harmful chemicals. However, we have found that the most effective anti-aging products use expertly-formulated ingredients at the correct concentrations in order to deliver dramatic and long-lasting results. We simply do not find anything about the Ecco Bella products to make them stand out in their sea of competition. We recommend that consumers continue their search.
