Ecco Bella is a line of skin care products suited for women. This brand was founded back in 1992 by Sally Malanga, who is currently the active president of Ecco Bella. She began this topical treatment line because she felt that there were too many harsh ingredients incorporated into skin care products and cosmetics. The official website pitches this brand by pasting “discover intelligent beauty” across the top of the home page. Ecco Bella offers categories like Skincare, Body Care, Cosmetics, Room Mists, Hair Care, Fragrance and something called “Health by Chocolate.” Ecco Bella products are not tested on animals.

At this point, organic ingredients are commonly sought after for all kinds of products. The official Ecco Bella website states that their treatments are “70 percent organic.” Not to mention free of preservatives and suitable for sensitive skin. There are 10 different products under the Skincare category, which are the Dark Chocolate Mask, Eye Nutrients Cream, Leave on Exfoliant, Cleansing Milk Makeup Remover, Mist on Toner, Deep Cleansing Gel, Age Antidote Day Cream, Night Rebuilder, Organic Facial Treatment Revitalize and Organic Facial Treatment Sacred. Major ingredients incorporated into these facial treatments are Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E Complex, Organic Calendula Extracts, Hyaluronic Acid, DMAE, COQ10, Vitamin C and Cocoa Butter. There is a satisfaction guarantee posted on the official website that specifies customers can exchange Ecco Bella products or get a refund.

Product Details

Ecco Bella is a brand of skin treatments geared primarily toward women with aging complexions. As seen on their website, most of their treatments aim to address common signs of aging, such as moisture loss, facial sagging, deep wrinkles, collagen reduction, crow’s feet, sun damage and lack of elasticity. Each skin care product is posted with a full list of ingredients below it, which some consumers will find helpful. Unlike many other skin care brands, Ecco Bella attempts to offer a more “nature-based” line of products. All Ecco Bella treatments can be acquired via the official website.

The full list of ingredients for the Ecco Bella Night Rebuilder are as follows: Organic aloe barbenisis, organic sunflower oilhelianthus anuus, caprylic/capric triglycerides, organic jojoba oil, saccharide isomerate (water binding agent from sugar), organic coconut oil, glyceryl stearate, glycerine, VitaminCells: Soy lecithin liposomes with full-spectrum vit. E with soy tocopherols & tocotrienols, vitamin C (ascorbyl palmitate), astaxanthin,beta-carotene, lutein, lycopene, zeaxanthin, CoQ10; ceramide 3, organic extracts of gotu cola centella asiatica, calendula officinalis, matricaria chamomomilla, arnica montana, horsetail equisetum arvense; hyaluronic acid, xanthan gum, essential oils of lavender lavandula angustifolia, rosemary leaf rosmarinus officinalis and geranium pelargonium graveolens.

The Good

  • Ecco Bella skin care products are 70 percent organic.
  • Ecco Bella does not test on animals.
  • All product ingredients are revealed on the official website.

The Bad

  • There are no free trial samples of Ecco Bella treatments offered at this time.
  • Ecco Bella really only addresses the skin of older women.
  • Some of the key active ingredients found in Ecco Bella treatments may irritate some complexions.
  • The Ecco Bella brand is fairly new in comparison to many other skin care lines.

The Bottom Line

On a high note, the Ecco Bella brand seems to push the whole “organic ingredient” aspect of modern skin care. Also, they do not endorse animal testing, which many consumers prefer. However, it would be nice to see some free trial samples of Ecco Bella products available through the official website, along with some reviews posted by past consumers.

2 years ago I discovered Ecco Bella from my local coop and loved the face powder! The coop stopped selling it about 8 months ago and so I ordered on line. I use to get “fair” I compared the “fair over 4 times on line to a few that I still had from the coop and they were completely different! Now I find myself having to mix the “fair with the ‘light” face powder! So inconvenient. Something had to have changed! All make up I have ever tried makes me break out but ecco bella does not. It is the best make up ever but now I just wish I could find my color again. :( Is there any one who can relate to what I am saying?
