Dermika is a Polish skin care company that was founded in 1994. Dermika manufactures a full range of skin care and body rejuvenating products for both women and men. The Dermika Remodelist line is formulated for women over 50 and concentrates on wrinkle reduction, cellular regeneration and toning. The Dermika Remodelist line includes the Anti-Wrinkle Cream 4D, Elixir of Youth, Firming Elixir For Neck and Decollete, Intensively Regenerating Cream-Mask, Non-Invasive Superlift, and Superactive Multiconcentrate 1000. The sheer number of products in the Dermika Remodelist line may be confusing to some consumers.
According to Dermika’s website, the Remodelist products were tested by an independent lab on women age 40-65 and the results of the testing appears on the website. There is no link to the actual test results however. The active ingredients listed for the Dermika Remodelist line include Matrikines, which the company describes as micropeptides that stimulate skin to generate new collagen and other proteins. Peptides are a common ingredient in higher-end anti-wrinkle products, but there appears to be little information available on the effects of Matrikines. Dermika’s Remodelist products cannot be purchased from the Dermika website. There appears to be no product guarantee offered. Free samples or trial sizes do not appear to be available.
Product Details
The Dermika Remodelist products contain peptides and essential oil extracts according to the product website. Although the active ingredients for each product are listed, a full ingredient listing is not offered. This makes it difficult for those with allergies or chemical sensitivities to evaluate whether there are any detrimental ingredients. Also, there may be lower-quality “filler” ingredients that are not listed.
Application instructions are included for each product so consumers can get an idea as to how long each jar will last and how often the products will need to be re-purchased.
The Good
- Contains peptides.
- Products are tested prior to coming onto the market.
- Company lists active ingredients on their website.
The Bad
- No full ingredient listing appears to be available.
- There is no money-back guarantee or product samples available.
- Products are not listed as non-allergenic.
- There are no links to clinical research supporting the therapeutic value of the products.
The Bottom Line
Higher-quality skin care companies stand behind their products with money-back guarantees. The fact that Dermika does not do this is concerning. The Dermika Remodelist products contain certain active ingredients that have been independently tested and proven to be effective, however, not knowing what else is in the formulation makes purchasing a more risky proposition. If the Dermika Remodelist products do not work to your satisfaction, you are likely stuck with the entire jar. Those with allergies or sensitivities will definitely want to look for another product that offers customers more ingredient disclosure.
