With the anti-aging craze in full effect, you’re likely to encounter all sorts of oral beauty products and topical treatments that endeavor to combat typical signs of aging. These cosmetic dilemmas can range from facial sagging, to deep expression lines, to crow’s feet, to age spots, to collagen loss, to sun damage and more. Dermasilk is one line of beauty treatments that addresses anti-aging specifically. It appears that this line is part of a larger company called Cosmedex “Division of Biotech International Corporation.” A convenient contact email address and 1-800 number are available on the official website for queries and orders.

At this time, there appears to be six different topical and oral treatments offered by Dermasilk. These are Anti-Wrinkle, Anti-Sagging, Double Chin Firming, Ultra Hydrating, Tightening Serum, and Miracle Cream. Basically three of these are topical, and the other three are taken orally. Let’s take a closer look at Dermasilk Anti-Wrinkle, which is an oral supplement that’s directed to be taken daily (two caplets each time) for a minimum of three to four months. It contains five key ingredients, which are Astaxanthin, Tocotrienols, GliSODin, PABA, Carnosine and Benfotiamine. There are before and after photos, as well as testimonials presented on the official website for this anti-aging supplement.

Product Details

Dermasilk is one of many anti-aging or anti-wrinkle lines currently available to the public. Unlike many other brands, this line of products is backed by some clinical research that’s posted on the official website. Since three of the Dermasilk products come in oral form and three come in the form of topical serums/creams, users can utilize an oral supplement, while taking advantage of a topical Dermasilk treatment at the same time. As posted on the website, there is a 100 percent money-back guarantee offered with these anti-aging products. However, on the downside, it’s unclear how long-term the results are from Dermasilk products. For example, the tightening serum is only stated to last “up to eight hours.”

The Good

  • Dermasilk products can be purchased conveniently online or in drugstores like Walgreens.
  • The key ingredients for each of these oral and topical treatments is presented on the website.
  • There are some before and after photos provided on the website for review.

The Bad

  • All of the ingredients incorporated into Dermasilk products are unknown.
  • There isn’t really any information provided on the company that manufactures Dermasilk treatments.
  • Some individuals may not care for the idea of taking an oral supplement for anti-aging.
  • There are no free trial samples of Dermasilk treatments offered at this time.
  • Dermasilk treatments may not be long-term.

The Bottom Line

When it comes down to it, the Dermasilk line is rather unique and interesting simply because it involves both topical treatments and oral supplements to combat signs of aging such as facial sagging, deep expression lines, crow’s feet, age spots, collagen loss and even sun damage. However, since all of the ingredients found in these products are not disclosed on the official website, there may be some concern about allergies. Be sure to sort through the anti-aging skin care market carefully before choosing Dermasilk.

The eye reduction advertisement is absolutely suspect. NO results were obtained in using the product as directed. A waste of money for sure.

Hi GM!, My name is Shannon and I am 32 years old and have looked basicically the same since I was about 19 years old. Whenever someone asks me my age, they look at me like, “Yeah right”! There have been timed that I’ve actually been asked to prove it by showing people my I.D. LoL. Since the age of about 20 I have always used anti-aging serums on my face in the a.m and p.m and have applied a lotion to my entire body daily after showering also, (usually just one of the Vaseline Intensive Care un-scented lotions, or an Olay brand of body lotion). Most of the time, as far as body lotions, I even purchase the generic brand because they usually all have the EXACT same ingredients. As far as anti-again products, I have mainly stuck with the name brands. So I give most of the credit to my regular and consistent body/face care that I have remained looking as young as I still do. But, just recently I saw the Dermas Silk products at a local store and had never seen or heard of it before, so I decided to give it a try. I purchased the 90 Second Eye Lift, the 5 Minute Face Lift and the Miracle Cream….all which were the Derma Silk brand. I have used it for just 2 days now, (a.m & p.m.), and my results have been amazing! Yes, it does say to re-apply after 8 hours, but with most every single anti-aging product these days, they all recommend using twice a day, so I do not find this much of a disadvantage with the Derma Silk. Maybe if it did not work for me, I would be disappointed because it is quite expensive, but it does work for me and I am amazed by my results in such a short time! But then again, we all have different skin types and what works with some people, may do absolutely nothing for others. GM, I am sorry you did not get the results you were hoping for and I hope you were able to get your money back with guarantee they offer on their products. You should try out the products they listed above, the Hydroxatone and the Hydroxlyze. They specifically say they have looked at literally HUNDREDS of wrinkle reduction and prevention treatments and Hydroxatone is their top choice of 2010! I am not sure of the cost, but I’m sure you could Google it and find out within seconds! If you ever decided to try it, please let me know your results! And have you ever tried the L’Oreal Revitalift Double Lifting eye serum? That’s another favorite of mine. It’s a 2-in-1 red and white bottle. You apply the white Anti-Aging cream under your eyes and on crow’s feet, then you apply the red Extreme Lifting Gel evenly across the top of the eye and after about 1 minute you can feel an immediate lifting sensation….and it’s MUCH cheaper than Derma Silk products! :) Whenever you find a product that works well, be sure to let me know. Thanks so much! Good luck and have a great day! ….and this is the first time that I’ve ever done one of these Question/Answer websites, so if you ever post an answer back I’m not sure how, or if, I’ll be notified that you posted anything, so just in-case, my email is Shannons33178@gmail.com

I purchased the double chin lotion. Why does it turn whit when it dries? Should I only use it a night? Should I put a mosturizer over it? It feels tight but can’t get to wear it during the day because of the caking effect/

You are putting on too much of the double chin lotion. You only have to use a small squirt for the entire neck area, twice a day.

I purchased the Dermasilk 5-minute facelift and have been using approx. two weeks. It feels good going on, very smooth, but you can get the same results from a face primer, i.e., Loreal, Avon, etc. The other problem with this product is that once the gel in the bottle gets a little more than half full, it can no longer be pumped out! Apparently, the little nozzle inside is not long enough to let you pump the entire contents – now I have to use a tiny scooper to get to the gel. Save your money!

Ive never used this product. My product of choice is obagi.sold only in md’s offices. its retin a based. Im 53 yrs old and have been using it for over 9yrs.I know that in order to see real results that last and are effective your facial cells have to be stimulated.this product does that.it takes 6 wks for our cells to turn over and make new ones. thats the only way your skin will rejuvenate.with this product you will peel fast or slow.depends on how you gauge it.its a little pricey.but when you add up all the other stuff we buy and dont work and how much time and money we waste this is so worth it.not for nothing. but if you see my skin you would not believe my age.50′s is the new 30′s.No wrinkles around the eyes and mouth. I also stay out of the sun and wear sunscreen everyday.

I love this stuff. I only tried it because of the $10 coupon in the papers a month ago. I saw results immediately and I am pleased to say, with continual use the results appear to be even better. It says to use morning and night and due to price, I only use in the morning. After 3 weeks, my expectations have been exceeded and I will be a permenant user of this product. Even though the cost is a bit high, only a very small amount is needed so a bottle appears to be lasting me more than a month (morning use only for me). I really can not talk high enough about this product, I really wish I would have taken before and after pictures. OH I use only the 5 minute face lift – the box said could be used under eyes so I didn’t buy the eye stuff I just use the face lift under my eyes and on my forehead. When this goes on sale I will definitely be getting a stock of this!

I have been using the five
minute face lift, a good pro-
duct. The pump has failed I
still have have half the pro-
duct left. It is laying in the
bottom of the tube. How do I
get it out. This product is
    expensive. Waiting for you
    answer. Thank you, Carol W.

Sometimes pumps need to be primed. Is there a place under the bottle to push up the product or a tiny hole that looks like a small paper clip will fit in. I had a bottle like that and it worked after that.

I tried the 90 second eye lift, very dissappointed it this product, it’s like putting glue on and the wrinkles stick together and don’t go away.

I’ve followed the directions and only used a tiny drop for both eyes, but it still leaves a white residue. Also the tightening effect seems to make my under eye skin look worse.
