Dermaquest “Skin Therapy” is a brand of topical treatments that endeavors to assist all skin types. This is an American company that dates back to 1999. They claim to manufacture high-quality skin care products, and do not test on animals. Although Dermaquest skin products are not offered for purchase through the official website, they can be acquired through select salons. There is a tool found on the website to assist consumers with finding Dermaquest treatments. There are six separate categories for Dermaquest products, which include Professional Care, Age Management, Physician Level, Acne Management, Masters and Therapeutic Care.
Nearly 30 different active ingredients are addressed on the website for the Dermaquest skin care line. Some of these are Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 (relaxes facial muscles to assist with wrinkle reduction), DMAE Complex (helps tone the skin), Idebenone (prevents free radical damage), Hyaluronic Acid (holds moisture in the skin), Co-Enzyme Q10 (antioxidant) and Emu Oil (helps moisturize and soften the skin). Like many other skin care lines, Dermaquest products are claimed to help users with issues such as sun damage, fine lines, crow’s feet, acne, hyper pigmentation, dryness and firmness. Although no free trial samples of Dermaquest appear to be offered through the website, some customer reviews are posted.
Product Details
Dermaquest is a line of treatments that offer “scientifically proven active ingredients.” These components are Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 (relaxes facial muscles to assist with wrinkle reduction), DMAE Complex (helps tone the skin), Idebenone (prevents free radical damage), Hyaluronic Acid (holds moisture in the skin), Co-Enzyme Q10 (antioxidant) and Emu Oil (helps moisturize and soften the skin) to name a few. While Dermaquest skin care products seem to be marketed primarily toward women, they do offer categories to cover all general skin types. An actual money-back guarantee doesn’t appear to be posted on the website. A convenient 1-800 number is offered on the website for individuals who are ordering Dermaquest. There doesn’t appear to be any clinical research posted for Dermaquest products.
The Good
- The active ingredients featured in Dermaquest products are posted, along with detailed descriptions.
- Some customer testimonials are available via the website.
- Dermaquest offers a variety of different products to potentially assist with many common skin afflictions.
The Bad
- None of the Dermaquest products are available for purchase through the website.
- No free trial samples of these treatments are currently offered online.
- A dermatologist has to provide you with certain Dermaquest treatments.
- A satisfaction guarantee is not addressed on the official site.
- The cost of Dermaquest skin care products is not revealed on the website.
The Bottom Line
The Dermaquest skin care line is presented on the official website in a fairly professional manner. Then again, some individuals may be turned off by the notion of Dermaquest skin treatments not being available through the actual website. In fact, many Dermaquest products can only be acquired through a licensed physician. It would be helpful to actually see a money-back guarantee posted on the official website, along with some free trial samples of Dermaquest products. It’s wise to consult a dermatologist before attempting to acquire any Dermaquest skin treatments.

I am currently using the DermaQuest salicylic acid acne treatment. Most of their acne treatments seem to be made with benzoyl peroxide which I cannot use. So I was glad to see that one was offered with other ingredients. The cleanser works pretty well but I noticed I have to stray from the instructions on the bottle to get it to really work for me. I leave it on my skin for about 3 minutes then I use a Clarisonic to scrub/exfoliae a bit with the treatment still on my face. The only downside to this product is the cost and the availbility. The bottle cost $37.50 but it is pretty large. However, I think some people may not even try it because it is hard to find AND the price is higher. The is only one day spa that carries it in my area so it makes things difficult. You cannot get it sent to you and automatically have it renew every month as some other treatments do. You also can’t just run to the store and buy it.
I hope this is helpful to someone.

The reason they don’t sell directly to the consumer is because it’s so powerful and highly concentrated. You need to have a consult with a licensed skincare professional. I have worked in a dermatology office and practiced 20 yrs. This is the best line I have ever worked with. The proof is in the results!

I have been using dermaquest products for approx 8months now, recommended by Skin Genesis after a skin consultation with them.
Whilst I found the texture of my skin very soft after a few months, I still do not see how it is any better than any other skin products such as simple or evening primrose, which are just as effective and far far cheaper.
