Dermacia is a company providing a product line aimed at covering the flaws of the facial skin. These products are gel based and thus allow air to flow through the makeup and into the pores of the face. Unlike other makeup brands, the Dermacia brand claims to provide better looking skin in just 30 days or less.

There was once a website for the Dermacia product line. A review of the website was found online, but the web address no longer leads to an active website. This is disheartening for a product to lose its website and online presence. With the antiaging and skin care market booming, there is no room for a product without a place for consumers to go for information on the product. When we looked a bit further into the mystery website, we found a second website that resembles more of a blog. It seems Dermacia decided to downgrade a bit and change the name of their website without redirecting that original website to the new page.

Product Features

There are 10 products listed on the new Dermacia website. These products include Breathable foundation, glow, cleanser, toner, moisture spray, face moisturizer, body moisturizer, color, hydration kit and makeup brushes.

The main ingredient in all of the Dermacia Breathable products is LYCD. LYCD is live yeast cell derivative. This ingredient is most readily known as being included in Preparation-H Hemorrhoid Treatment in the past. We are not sure if the same products used for Hemorrhoids should be used on the face. Dermacia claims the ingredient is used for its ability to reduce swelling and inflammation and they readily admit the ingredient is used in Hemorrhoid preparations.

While there is ordering available on the Dermacia website, the process is confusing at best. The consumer needs to click the Paypal buy now button in order to see the price for the product. However, no matter which product link you click, you are always taken to the same product to buy. This product is called the Dermacia Professional Kit. The Kit includes a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, moisturizing spray and foundation. The kit costs $99.99.

There is a free trial offer for the Dermacia Professional Kit. The consumer must pay shipping and handling and if they do not like the product, they can return it at their cost, for a refund of the amount paid.

While researching online, there have been many Dermacia users who have reporting oily skin and increased blemishes after using the Dermacia product.

The Good

• The free trial will cost the consumer shipping twice if they want to return the product.

The Bottom Line

There is a lot to say about the Dermacia product line and not much of it is good. There is no evidence that the LYCD is an effective ingredient in facial preparations. There are no claims of antiaging that are supported and all sales must go through Paypal. We believe this product line is on the way out and cannot support the Dermacia products.
