Dee Simmons Eye Firming Cream claims to make the area around your eyes much more youthful looking again, doing away with the puffiness, under-eye sagging, and crow’s feet that make so many people look and feel old–often times much older than they really are. This product is specifically formulated to remove the signs of aging from around the eyes, not the rest of the face or the backs of the hands. The manufacturer claims that with regular use of Dee Simmons Eye Firming Cream, the skin around the eyes eventually regains its youthful color, shape, and glow.
Product Details
The ingredients list for this eye cream is as follows:
Aloe Vera Gel, Glycerin, Water, Sodium PCA, Urea, Trehalose, Polyquaternium-51, Sodium Hyaluronate (aka HA), Cyclomethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Dionized Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Beeswax, Extracts of: Arnica, Green Tea, Comfrey, Eyebright, Cucumber. Tocopheryl Acetate (vitamin E), Aminopropyl Ascorbyl Phosphate, Panthenol, Shea Butter, Carbomer, Ethoxydiglycol, Methylparaben, Triethanolamine, Propylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea and Tetrasodium EDTA.
The aloe vera is thought to be a healing agent that helps reduce blemishes or skin discoloration around the eyes. We are disappointed to note that this product does contain synthetic chemicals including parabens, which clog the pores and are shown to be carcinogens when used extensively over extended periods of time.
The Good
- Aloe vera and hyaluronic acid are in the formula.
- There are some pretty good moisturizers in the formula.
- The full ingredients are listed.
- People give great testimonials.
The Bad
- Where’s the website?
- Use is limited to just around the eyes.
- There are no product images.
- Synthetic chemicals are in the formula.
The Bottom Line
Dee Simmons Eye Firming Cream is a limited application anti-aging cream that is meant to only be used around the eyes. But, it does contain hyaluronic acid, so its claims for what it can do around the eyes–which allegedly includes everything that anybody could desire–have at least some firm footing. But, this acid may not be able to penetrate to the deeper layers of the skin, meaning its effects could be limited or that a large amount of the cream would need to be consistently used. The aloe vera probably acts as a healing agent and there are vitamins that probably act as anti-oxidants. There are plenty of moisturizers, and that is definitely important. But, while there are lots of good testimonials about Dee Simmons Eye Firming Cream, claims about the formula’s abilities are difficult to verify, since all of these positive testimonials are found on dealers’ sites and we don’t have any images. These same dealers don’t offer much in the way of a solid money back guarantee or return policy, either. We also don’t condone the use of the synthetic chemicals found in this product.
