Crabtree & Evelyn Review

Crabtree & Evelyn is an online distributor of numerous cosmetic and skin care products. Our first impression about the site is that the products featured have a certain elegance. The website is attractive and the site devotes itself to the selling of many types of hand and foot cream, fragrances, night time lotions and aromatherapy soaps. The products are chiefly marketed towards women of all ages but there are also a few cosmetic products for men.

All Crabtree & Evelyn products are made from natural ingredients and extracted from a variety of plants and herbs. The majority of this brand’s hand creams are said to rejuvenate, nourish and purify the skin. Most of the hand lotions and creams are said to smooth your skin and to keep hands moisturized for long periods. The site specifically mentions that none of their products contain artificial ingredients like sulfates propylene alcohol, mineral oil or parabens. Every type of fragrance is available and the site is nicely designed; while browsing the site, you get a sense that you can actually smell the fragrances. The website also has products for men who want to maintain good healthy skin. The Daily Face scrub for men is said to deep cleanse the skin and work as a mild exfoliant.

Product Details

Unfortunately Crabtree & Evelyn does not list their ingredients under each product. They do claim to use all natural extracts from plants and herbs and to include no synthetic chemicals. From searching the web, it appears that some of the Crabtree & Evelyn products do contain avocado butter, grape seed oil, emollient shea butter and antioxidant olive oil.

All of the ingredients appear to be natural and derived from various botanicals and plants.

The Bottom Line

Crabtree & Evelyn have established themselves as a premier home store for personal skin products. The company offers a wide range of beauty products and caters to both genders. Each product is detailed and the company does not make exorbitant claims. The most it says about the products is that they do not contain artificial chemicals and that all are made from natural extracts. The majority of these products are said to soften and moisturize your skin. With names like mango fruit, avocado butter, pineapple and ginger shower gel, what more can one ask. The prices are affordable and one certainly can’t go too wrong. And plus they do have a refund policy if you do not like to smell. However, these Crabtree & Evelyn products are more general beauty regimen products and are not specifically made to either erase or prevent wrinkles.

  1. RosewaterFragrance Diffuser – want to insure the ingredients are natural and not synthetic. If you have info would be beneficial! Thank you

  2. I have been given gifts of crabtree and evelyn lait pour le corps, i.e. body lotion, the rose lotion ingredients lists water, capric triglyceride, peg20 methyl glucose, sequistearate, cethyl alcohol, fragrance, methyl glucose sequistearate, sesame seed oil, c12-15 alkyl benzoate, isopropyl myristate, shea butter…then another19 more ingredients. These are certainly not all natural ingredients, many many synergic, smells also quite strong in synergic fragrance too, unlike more soothing natural essential oils fragrance.

  3. How long can the Crabtree & Evelyn’s products such as body cream supposed to last? Usually such products would last for 3 years from date of manufacturing. I do not see any manufacturing date or expiry date on the bottle/container. It is still good to us the body cream which is after 3 years?
