Cosmolara claims to provide a “conscientious merging of cosmetic technology, modern science and traditional wisdom” in producing their line of skin and hair care products. This line is an offshoot of the parent company, which has been a mail order pharmacy since 1957. The Cosmolara skin and hair care items made their appearance on the scene in 2004, and include a wide range of products designed to meet a variety of needs.
Cosmolara products are not available through the company website; instead, they can be purchased from a variety of pharmacies and online retailers. We were unable to find any type of money back guarantee policy or customer testimonials on the website. In perusing the company website, we found two products that caught our attention as potential anti-aging items; the Intensive Anti-Aging Cream and the Intensive Anti-Aging Moisture Serum. For the purpose of this review, we will look specifically at the Cosmolara Intensive Anti-Aging Moisture Serum.

The ingredients in the Cosmolara Intensive Anti-Aging Moisture Serum include: Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, Butylene Glycol, Ahnfeltia Concinna Extract, Malachite Extract, Thiotic Acid, Ceramide 3, Retinal, Calcarea Carbonica, Graphites, Triticum Vulgare Germ Extract, Saccharomyces Cerevisae Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Aspalathus Linearis, Aloe Vera powder.
There are a couple of ingredients in this mix that we are happy to see included in any anti-aging product. The first is acetyl hexapeptide-3, also known as argireline. This substance has been touted as “the Botox alternative”, because it is a topical solution that can penetrate the surface of the skin to relax the facial muscles underneath. This process can diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles by up to 30%. The other ingredient favored by Cosmolara that is effective in anti-aging products is sodium hyaluronate, an effective skin hydrator that can smooth the surface of the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. These two substances are especially effective when used together. However, the benefits could be maximized even further if ingredients like matrixyl and soluble collagen were added to the mix.

Acetyl hexapeptide-3 and sodium hyaluronate have been proven to be very effective in anti-wrinkle products. However, we believe a company that is truly confident about the quality of their products will back them up with a money back guarantee and customer testimonials. Cosmolara does not seem to do that. While these products definitely may be worth a second look, there are others that will provide money back guarantees and customer testimonials, and this will allow consumers to shop with more confidence.
