Colladerm is an antiaging product that claims to work in a unique way. This product, according to the information on the website, uses collagen to erase wrinkles from the skin. The oil free product is said to be one of the most effective antiaging creams on the market. This claim alone is a great reason to delve into the finest details of Colladerm to see if the claims are true.

There is an official website for the Colladerm products. The company producing the Colladerm is based out of NJ and the website is far from professional. At the time of this review, the product is selling for $9.95 for 1.9 fluid ounces plus shipping and handling.

Product Features

The main ingredients in the Colladerm are water, glycerin, soluble collagen, hydrolyzed elastin, allantonin, hydroxyethyl ethylcellulose, sorbic acid and octoxynol-9. Aside from the collagen, we cannot find much in this product that will have an antiaging effect. The collagen will help the fibers of the face increase in number, but that alone will not make a huge effect on wrinkles and fine lines.

In addition to the lack of necessary effective ingredients, there is no collagen boosting ingredients in the Colladerm formula. These ingredients include hyaluronic acid and Matrixyl 3000. The most effective antiaging creams and products will include one or both of these ingredients.

Going back to the website, there is little information there that the consumer will find beneficial. No testimonials or proof that the Colladerm works and lives up to the claims of the website are provided to the consumer. There is, however, contact information and the ability to order the Colladerm on the website. There is no refund or return policy listed.

Colladerm is inexpensive, but there is good reason why the product is priced significantly lower than comparable antiaging creams and moisturizers – because it does not contain the antiaging ingredients the others contain. The lack of detailed product information, support for the product, testimonials and a return policy are all strikes against Colladerm. At this time, we will withhold our support for this product in lieu of any proof the moisturizer actually reduces the look of wrinkles.

    After reading your critique I wanted to take a moment to inform readers that my dermatologist recommended Colladerm to me in 1987. I use it religiously to this day. People tell me I look at least 8 years younger than I am. This product has provided pristine results. The competitive pricing is also a benefit. I have tried other products that triggered hypersensitivity, inflammation & excessive redness. I’ve mixed the Colladerm w/my foundation to apply an all in one. The combination has been excellent allowing me to adjust the color, moisturizer for the surrounding elements. Colladerm liquid base makes it perfect to mix in a good sunblock that is much more effective than any moisturizer w/sunblock. Since I am a very active woman (horseback rider, scuba diver, sailor, etc) I need an effective moisturizer that will accommodate a very strong sunblock. During any occasions when I did get sunburned I would put the Colladerm in the refrigerator, apply to clean, cool damp skin to alleviate the sunburn inflammation.
    I can attest that this is a very effective product that will provide results. However, as with any anti-aging regimen one must realize that diet, healthy living, non-smoking and independently caring for oneself is the foundation to great skincare.
    Colladerm is a fabulous product with excellent pricing.
