Clientele was founded by scientist Pat Riley, the woman who is touted as discovering the first oil-free moisturizer, according to the Clientele Cosmetics website. The company provides a handful of skin care lines that are geared toward specific needs; many primarily addressing the issues of aging. There is also a line of supplements available that are designed specifically to enhance outer beauty from within the body. The products are sold through the QVC website, where Riley is also a frequent guest to market her line of products. You can also find them at some department stores.
The Clientele Cosmetics website is difficult to navigate and provides little information about each individual product. We are happy to see that Clientele does offer a 30-day money back guarantee on all of its products. There is also a special offer available that allows consumers to receive a free gift when placing an order. Unfortunately, we were unable to find customer testimonials or complete ingredient lists to back up the claims made regarding these products.
Product Details
For the sake of this review, we will explore one of the Clientele lines that addresses the signs of aging; the Estro-Lift line. The Clientele Cosmetics homepage boasts that the Estro-Lift products offer the “fountain of youth” to mature skin. It appears that this line includes cleansers, day and night creams and specialty products for diminishing the look of wrinkles and firming the skin. One product in particular, the Intensive Serum, is described as a “symphony of state of the art ingredients” to revitalize the appearance of the skin. While we are happy to see that this product includes Matrixyl and Hyaluronate in the formula, we wish that a complete ingredient list was available from Clientele to give us a better idea of the effectiveness of the product.
Matrixyl is a proven anti-wrinkle substance that stimulates collagen production in the skin. Since collagen is lost as we age, the result is skin that is thinner and less firm. Adding collagen will effectively plump the skin and smooth out the fine lines and wrinkles that develop in the aging process. Hyaluronate is an excellent skin hydrator that can also improve the appearance of the skin by smoothing the surface and diminishing the appearance of fine lines.
The Good
- At least one of the Clientele products contains Matrixyl and Hyaluronate.
- The company offers a money back guarantee on all purchases.
The Bad
- Complete ingredient lists are not available.
- The Clientele website is difficult to navigate and provides little information about individual products.
- No customer testimonials are available.
The Bottom Line
While there may be some promising formulas in the Clientele Cosmetics line, the poorly organized website and lack of specific information about the products certainly leaves us wishing for more facts to base our skin care decisions on. We have found other companies are more forthcoming with this information and that sell effective anti-aging products for a reasonable price. Perhaps those options should be explored before taking your chances with Clientele Cosmetics.

I can’t say enough about Clientele skin care products.
I use them every day and frequently get compliments on my skin. I started purchasing Clientele when I saw Pat Riley on QVC. Her products really work. My skin is clearer, softer, brighter looking and my wrinkles have become less noticeable. I love the Clientele Skin Care Line and feel it is the best in the market.

I just started using Clientele skin products a little over a week ago after getting a free demo at Norstrum’s and I’m sold already. I love the way the products look and feel on my skin. I can see the different in my skin tone already. It’s convenient that Nordstrum now carries the products and a representative is available in person to answer questions.

I’m a early 30-something w/ fair combination skin that tans somewhat easily, but is also VERY sensitive to cosmetics.
Have tried mineral makeup by Bare Minerals & absolutely LOVE the light feel & exceptional coverage; however, I notice my skin tends towards oily when using it, but tends towards too dry when using regular cream/powder foundation (UGH!).
Since it’s so difficult to find an ingredient list for Clientele, I wonder how well it works for sensitive skin??
Is it hypo-allergenic/non-comedogenic?
Anyone knowledgeable about Clientele who can assist…many thanks!!

Hi ESR,
for someone who has really sensitive skin, try going to their website and calling customer service. Believe it or not, it’s not a lot of people that do it. They are a select few people that know the product inside and out. In case you don’t take my word for it, they are great for sensitive skin. Also, I would try Jane Iredale for mineral makeup, it’s the very first mineral makeup invented and they use boron nitride as their mineral of choice, not bismuth oxychloride which is a known skin irritant.
hope this helps.

As a person with oily and sensitive skin, I’ve been using Clientele for over 6 years now and find the products super easy on my skin. I’ve spoken with a few of their reps and they say they are hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic.
As for the concealer, they do still make it, it’s one of my favs. I think they recently changed their packaging though. When I ordered it a few months ago it came in a silver and grey compact.

I’ve been a makeup artist for 17 years and along my journey as an artist I had the pleasure of working for Clientele Skincare. It is by far one of thee best skincare products I’ve ever used. True, the packaging and website is not as modern as other brands, but, as she (Pat Riley) would say, the company spends much more money on what’s inside the bottles. My skin had never looked so good. Years later, and after using other skincare products, here I am coming back to Clientele. I’m three months pregnant now and my skin is very dry, extremely. So I need to re-order ASAP.

Love Clientele. I have been using it for years.Have wanted to try something else now and then but always come back. The smell (or lack of) and feel on the skin is amazing. Why skincare companies think your mosturizer should smell like perfume, I will never understand.
