One of which is Clarins Super Restorative Serum, which sells for $132 (one ounce). Like many skin care products, this formula should be applied to clean skin, morning and night. It can be used in conjunction with a Clarins skin care regimen. There are some user reviews found online for Clarins Super Restorative Serum, such as on dealer websites like Sephora.

Product Details

Clarins Super Restorative Serum is a topical formula that is claimed to immediately lift, renew, and replenish facial skin. Unlike many anti-aging treatments, this one is supposed to assist women who are challenged with hormonal fluctuations, which can apparently have a negative impact on the skin. Clarins Super Restorative Serum works to recharge the user’s complexion, and stimulate collagen production. Overall, the user should experience firmer skin, and heightened luminosity. This product is described as lightweight and non-comedogenic. It is also allergy-tested, and infused with key ingredients like Kaki Calyx (firms and lifts skin), Selenium (defends against free radicals), and Pueraria Lobata (contains isoflavones to encourage the production of collagen, and increase skin radiance).

All ingredients used in this product are as follows: Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Isononyl Isononanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butylene Glycol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Peg-20 Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Dimethicone, Stearyl Heptanoate, Peg-8,Polyacrylamide,Parfum/Fragrance, Tromethamine, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Carum Petroselinum (Parsley) Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin , Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Caprylyl Glycol, Pueraria Lobata Root Extract, Laureth-7, Dipsacus Sylvestris Extract, Disodium Edta, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Extract, Tocopherol, Caffeine, Sodium Polyacrylate, Pelvetia Canaliculata Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Buddleja Officinalis Leaf Extract, Siloxanetriol Alginate, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Diospyros Kaki Fruit Extract, Hydrolyzed Linseed Extract, Phenoxyethanol,Sorbic Acid,Sodium Citrate,Potassium Sorbate,Citric Acid,Hexyl Cinnamal,Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Linalool,Citronellol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, and Ci 14700/Red 4.

The Good

  • There are no hidden ingredients, since all are posted online.
  • This skincare product contains some all-natural components, such as thyme extract.

The Bad

  • Some consumer reviews for Clarins Super Restorative Serum are negative.
  • A single ounce of this product costs a whopping $132.
  • There are fragrances used in this anti-aging serum, which may irritate the skin of some users.

The Bottom Line

It is no big secret that Clarins is a line of skincare products that has been around for many decades now. However, this does not make their topical formulas superior to some other brands out there today. As for Clarins Super Restorative Serum, this treatment is very high priced at $132, and it is unclear what makes it so special. While it is nice to see that it may help women with hormonal fluctuations, the truth is, other skincare products may do the same thing, but for less money.

  1. I have tried a sample of this serum and I have to say it’s the best serum I have ever tried. I do agree they are other serums out there that are comparable, but so far I have not found one, I hear what you say about the price, but as you only need a very small amount it should last a long time.
