The Cellnique Company is based in Malaysia and subscribes to a philosophy of “result oriented yet personalized beauty solutions aimed at absolute beauty”, according to the company website. Cellnique provides spa treatments as well as products that can be used in your home beauty regimen. You can purchase the product online from the company, but we could not find any other sources for this particular beauty line. The serum comes with a relatively high price tag; $114 as of the date of this review, and we could not find any money back guarantees listed on the website. Since the product will be shipped overseas, a high shipping and handling cost may need to be factored into the price as well.
The Cellnique Firming Serum claims to have “a unique combination of the most powerful anti-aging ingredients”. The company states that this product will reduce the signs of aging around the eye area by boosting collagen production and relaxing the skin muscles around the eyes. There is not a complete ingredient list that we could find for the serum and instructions for use were also not readily available. We were left wondering if this serum would be applied once or twice each day, and whether it would be safe to use with the rest of our existing daily skin care regimen.
Product Details
The Cellnique Firming Serum boasts two key ingredients in its formula; hexapeptides and phyto-estrogen. It is these two substances that Cellnique credits with boosting the production of collagen and relaxing the facial muscles to diminish the appearance of wrinkles. Argireline is also known as acetyl hexapeptide-3. If this is indeed the ingredient in this formula, then this is a proven substance in reducing the look of fine lines, because it can effectively relax facial tension that leads to wrinkles. However, it is not specified whether one of the hexapeptides in the Cellnique Firming Serum is indeed argireline.
The other ingredient touted in this serum is phyto-estrogen. This is a hormone that is derived from plants, and is very similar to human hormones. They are used in place of estrogen replacement therapy for women going through menopause, but we were unable to find much evidence supporting the use of this ingredient in a skin care product. Other ingredients that have been proven to be effective in reducing wrinkles are noticeably absent, including matrixyl 3000, which can maximize the benefit of argireline.

If the Cellnique Firming Serum does have argireline in its list of hexapeptides, then it may actually be effective in diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. However, with a high price tag and few details for the product in terms of ingredients and testimonials, we believe there are better choices out there for the money.
