Cellnique is a Malaysian company that claims to be devoted to producing quality skin care and beauty products. The company offers a broad range of skin care that treats everything from wrinkles to acne. The Cellnique Advanced Treatment Cream falls under the anti-aging category. However, we have a couple of concerns about Cellnique right from the beginning. First, these products do not appear to be offered by any other online retailers. Instead, we were able to find the products for sale from resale and auction websites. While this often indicates products that have been discontinued, this does not seem to be the case with the Cellnique line.
Another concern is the lack of professionalism shown on the Cellnique website. We found pages that did not work and grammatical errors throughout. What we did not find was comprehensive information about the products or customer testimonials to back up claims. We caution consumers against purchasing products from companies who do not feel the need to educate consumers fully about the products they offer. Lack of information leaves the consumer in the dark about the effectiveness of the product and whether allergies to certain substances might be a concern. We do not feel confident recommending the Cellnique Advanced Treatment Cream without sufficient information to go on, particularly in light of the high price tag for the product. Product Details
Cellnique does list retinol as an ingredient in the Cellnique Advanced Treatment Cream. Retinol, a form of vitamin A, is a common ingredient found in many anti-aging products because it has the ability to resurface the skin for a smoother, more vibrant complexion. Cellnique Advanced Treatment also contains fruit acids, which may provide exfoliating action that will complete the resurfacing process. However, some of these types of acids can be very irritating to those with sensitive skin. It would be helpful to know precisely what types of acids are used in this formula. Many products containing these ingredients will advise consumers to begin using the product sparingly and every other day until they see how their skin will respond. We could not find usage instructions or cautions about the product on the Cellnique website.
These ingredients are also not the most effective anti-aging substances on the market today. We encourage consumers to look for proven ingredients like matrixyl, argireline, collagen and hyaluronic acid in their anti-wrinkle formulas. We do not find any of these substances listed for the Cellnique Advanced Treatment Cream.
