Tripollar Stop Review

Curious about Tripollar Stop?

Tripollar Stop is a facial skin renewal device. It comes from the Pollogen brand, which many cosmeticians use. Pollogen is a Lumenis company. It has several clinics and spas located throughout the country, with a number of anti-aging treatments available. The company domain was first registered in 2006, when it was founded.

What is Tripollar Stop?

Tripollar Stop is the Pollogen in-home use product, allowing people to get the benefits of a spa or clinic facial treatment at home. It’s a non-evasive way to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, renew and tighten the skin, and boost collagen production. The kit comes with the device, the power supply (with the US, EU, UK, and Australian adapters), the preparation gel, a manual and instruction guide to teach you how to use the device. It is recommended to use it two to three times per week, for six to eight weeks. Users are advised to let the skin rest between each treatment to allow the skin’s natural collagen production process to work. After the initial treatment round, users are advised to continue using the device once every two to four weeks, and as needed to maintain results.

Quick Facts on Tripollar Stop

  • Tripollar Stop is expensive, retailing for over $400, and on sale for over $300.
  • Cream is also needed to work with the device, adding to the expense.
  • Available in two colors: Black or White
  • Comes with a money back guarantee and warranty.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Tripollar Stop?

“There’s little evidence to support the long term effectiveness of devices like the Tripollar Stop. While it may provide some improvement, there’s also risk of skin irritation,” says our Skincare Editor.

Here’s What People Are Saying

Many people complained the device wasn’t as effective as they’d hoped, and that it was extremely expensive.

Many people hoped the device would be more effective.

  • ”After using it for the required time 6 to 8 weeks, I found my lower eye lids seemed hollowed and where I had no droopiness beside my mouth, I now do. I have stopped using it since May in the hopes that my skin’s fullness would return, so far still the same. I find that my face looks worse than before I started using this device.”
  • “I bought TriPollar Stop and used it quite faithfully for several months on arms, belly, midriff, thighs, knees. I have seen no change.”

Others feel differently, saying the product works well for them.

  • ”I won’t lie and say that my wrinkles are gone but they are significantly shallower, particularly the lines from the sides of my nose to my mouth, my skin is tighter and genuinely so much clearer and I can already see less age spots.”
  • “My skin is softer and smoother after using it. It is obvious that there is a change in the skin texture or maybe that’s my pore size reducing. Bear in mind you have to be patient and use it at least 2 to 3 times a week to get the best results as I’ve found.”

Some people complain about the price.

  • ”I know it’s a radio frequency device, but it seems I can better results with a traditional anti-wrinkle cream, at a much lower price point.”
  • “For what they want me to pay for the Tripollar Stop, I can get multiple jars of department store quality anti-aging products.”

Others say it is worth the investment because it’s still cheaper than multiple facial treatments at a spa.

  • ”Naturally I was nervous to try it and slightly reluctant to pay for the device but I then realized that $415 is pretty much the cost of 2 facial treatments in a regular spa –less even and better is that fact that I can use the device at home.”
  • “I had several treatments from a cosmetician a few years ago in 2010 with the same technology using pollegen and they charged around $125 per treatment. I was very excited when I found out that there was now a use at home device available on the market for only few hundred dollars, after 4 self-treatments I’d already made my money back”

Are We Sold on Tripollar Stop?

We’re not 100% sure. Numerous FDA approved radio frequency devices are available on the market today. We see nothing particularly special about this one, that would make it worth the investment over any other product. Yes, you may see some reduction in your pores, and you may notice wrinkles are less deep, but many cream and serum based products can achieve the same results at a lower price point.

Nanoblur Review

Curious about Nanoblur and how it works?

Nanoblur is a wrinkle reducing anti-aging blur cream from Indeed Laboratories. It is available online and in various stores for under $20 a tube. Each tube contains one ounce of product. It is the company’s flagship product, and launched in 2011, as the industry’s first skin blurring cream. It claims to be able to give you flawless photo-ready skin in seconds.

What is Nanoblur?

Nanoblur contains the following ingredients Water/Aqua/Eau, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol Crosspolymer Dimethicone, Glycerin, Cyclopentasiloxane, VP/VA Copolymer, Cyclohexasiloxane, Sodium Acrylate/Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Amodimethicone, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Isohexadecane, Polysilicone-11, Polysorbate 80, Citric Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol. It is a creamy white product, close to lotion in texture and thickness. Because it has no scent, it is suitable for both men and women.

Quick Facts on Nanoblur

  • Can be used on all skin types.
  • Fragrance free.
  • Reports of ineffectiveness.
  • Marketed as a unisex product.
  • No parabens are used in the formula.
  • All ingredients are listed on the official website.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Nanoblur?

“We like that it is unscented, but reports of difficulty using and ineffectiveness make us skeptical, even at the affordable price point,” says our Skincare Editor.

Here’s What People Are Saying

Some people said the blur cream just didn’t work for them, no matter how they tried it.

  • ”At best blurs some of your larger pores and mattifies the skin. Horrible over or mixed with foundation just couldn’t get it to work at all.”
  • “I tried using it several ways, and never found one that I liked. I found it heavy and tacky, and actually threw the tube out before finishing it.”

Fortunately, there were others who felt the product did a good job.

  • ”It takes away the shine and has a minimal, but nice blurring effect that doesn’t look like makeup.”
  • “I use it under mineral foundation and mineral concealer as a base. it does smooth out wrinkles and helps apply the mineral makeup more evenly.”

Many people said it didn’t work at all.

  • ”This stuff is awful. I’m a makeup artist/ professional and thought I would give this a try. Even with the smallest amount it clumps up and looks caked. Doesn’t even mix well with other products or work overtop of makeup. Also makes skin look very dry and shows every line. Loser of a item… don’t waste your money on this one. There are too many better items on the market that work much better than this.”
  • “It didn’t work at all. It’s a small tube that not worth the price nor the shipping. It did nothing for my skin.”

Others, however, were pleased with their results.

  • ”It is not a miracle product, but it works. It provides a softer image. I agree it works best when you pat it on. You do not have to use a lot to get results.”
  • “The Nanoblur did blur the lines the way it was supposed to but I have an exceptionally rough face and it wasn’t as effective as I had hoped.”

Are We Sold on Nanoblur?

Not exactly. We like that it does help remove the appearance of fine lines for some users, but it seems to dry out skin and cause issues when worn under makeup. Several people reported issues with getting it to work, no matter the various application methods they tried. We like that it is fragrance free, and affordably priced, but those things aren’t important if it doesn’t work.

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Review

Wonder how Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference works?

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference is a full skin care product line from Elizabeth Arden. The brand was founded in 1910 by Florence Nightingale Graham. It was originally founded as the Red Door salon on Fifth Avenue. It sold to Eli Lily and Company in 1971 for $38 million, and it was sold again to Faberge in 1987 for $657 million. The company operates today, after being sold to Unilever, and in 2003 was purchased by FFI. They still own the company today.

What is Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference?

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference has several products, including BB creams, moisturizers, cleansers, and toners. Products are available for combination, dry, and oily skin. Some products are suitable for all skin types. Many are geared toward anti-aging – with moisturizers in particular focused on preventing signs of aging like wrinkles and fine lines. Ingredients include vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, licorice extract, and biometric peptide.

Quick Facts on Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference

  • BB Cream contains SPF 30 to help protect against sun damage.
  • Products are still tested on animals, though the corporation is phasing this out over time.
  • Some products contain parabens.
  • There is a money back guarantee.
  • The company has more than 90 years in the business.
  • Irritants like limonene, linalool and fragrance are used in products.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference?

“Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference products cover a large number of potential skin conditions. However, there are multiple ingredients that could cause skin irritation, often in the same formula. That’s not what customers are looking for,” said our Skincare Editor.

Here’s What People Are Saying

People complained about the way their skin felt when using the product.

  • ”When I put it on, my face gets this ‘stiff’ feeling, as if a thin layer of something is constantly on them.”
  • “This cream dried my skin out very badly. This winter I discovered that glycerin does not work well with my skin and I didn’t notice that it was the second ingredient in this cream.”

Others disagree.

  • ”It makes me look better after 5 minutes after application! And I really look younger!”
  • “Visible Difference brought so much life back to my face….moisture, helped my deep wrinkles and brought color back to my complexion.”

Several hated the smell.

  • ”I just purchased this cream so too early to tell if effective or not, but will not purchase again. It smells absolutely awful!!!”
  • “I cannot tell that it is any better than any other moisturizer, and it smells absolutely terrible.”

For some, the scent wasn’t an issue.

  • ”I’ve been using VD Refining Moisture Cream Complex for 31 years. I’m 52 now, and no one would EVER know.”
  • “I have used this product on and off since I was 15 years old. I am now in my early 40s and I am regularly mistaken for someone younger. I love how soft the skin on my face feels and I owe it all to this product.”

Are We Sold on Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference?

We are skeptical about recommending the Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference line. Irritants can actually cause skin damage that may promote signs of premature aging. If you’re trying to reverse the hands of time this is not what you want from a product.

Dermagen IQ Review

Wonder how Dermagen IQ works?

Dermagen IQ is an anti-wrinkle cream. Several websites are online promoting a free trial of the product. Some lead to the actual official website, but others take the customer to products not associated with it. Beauty & Truth is the company behind the formula. We don’t know when the business started, but we do know it hit online in 2011.

What is Dermagen IQ?

Dermagen IQ is a “Age Correction Cream” from Beauty & Truth. Though no complete list of ingredients is provided, we know the formula contains peptides and collagen. There’s nothing on parabens, fragrance, other irritants or animal testing.

Quick Facts on Dermagen IQ

  • Dermagen IQ is made by Beauty & Truth.
  • We have no idea if irritants are used.
  • Animal testing is not mentioned.
  • The price is not listed.
  • May only be available as a free trial offer.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Dermagen IQ?

“Given the lack of ingredient information and the fact that you have no idea the cost of Dermagen IQ, we are skeptical about this one,” says our Skincare Editor.

Here’s What People Are Saying

There were several reports of the company being a scam.

  • ”The free trial is nothing of the sort. I was charged the next day, and had a hard time canceling the auto shipment.”
  • “These people are nothing but scammers.”

There were a few, however, who didn’t feel this way.

  • “I got the product and used it for a while, then canceled with no problem.”
  • “I canceled and was never charged more than my $4.95.”

Lots of people said the product just didn’t work for them.

  • ”I know vitamin C is good for the skin, but there’s nothing special about this cream.”
  • “I could get better results with drugstore products.”

And others said they loved their results.

  • ”This helped my skin feel softer and smoother in just a couple of uses.”
  • “My skin feels so much better since I started using this product.”

Are We Sold on Dermagen IQ?

Well, it’s true that peptides are good for the skin, and there are many anti-aging products out there with it. But, the reason we are hesitant about this one is the lack of information on the ingredient list and the fact that you cannot purchase without agreeing to an auto shipment.

Derma Nova Review

What does Derma Nova really do?

Derma Nova is an anti-aging cream marketed for both men and women. It is an as seen on TV product. There are several websites promoting it, so we don’t really know which one, if any, are the official one. No information is provided about the company that makes the moisturizer. The websites were registered in May 2014, which tells us it is still relatively new.

What is Derma Nova?

Derma Nova, an anti-aging cream, claims to provide results similar to more invasive anti-aging procedures like Botox. It contains triglycerides, shea butter, glycerine, peptides made of four amino acids. There is no complete formula listed, so we’ve no idea if there are parabens, fragrance or other irritants in the mix.

Quick Facts on Derma Nova

  • No complete list of ingredients.
  • May contain irritants.
  • There is a free trial.
  • The free trial lasts 15 days then you are charged $99.
  • The order is automatically placed on auto-ship.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Derma Nova?

“We review tons of products just like Derma Nova week after week,” says our Skincare Editor. “There’s no way for the customer to make an educated decision if all the ingredients are not listed.”

Here’s What People Are Saying

People thought the product was expensive.

  • ”Sure, you can get a free trial for just the cost of shipping, but I wasn’t happy to see the $79 cost that would be charged after 15 days. That’s not really long enough to see whether or not the product will work before they’re sending you more.”
  • “If I wanted to pay $79 for a moisturizer, I’d go to the department store and get a more well known brand that comes with a money back guarantee.”

Others felt that for what the product was, the price was on par.

  • ”Compared to some department store products, this is far more affordable. You really do get what you pay for.”
  • “I don’t mind spending that kind of money if I know something is going to work.”

Some people thought the autoshipment deal was scammy – and wanted to know why they couldn’t just buy the product when they wanted it.

  • ”I’d be much happier if I could just spend the money for Derma Nova when I wanted it. Getting roped in with a free trial spells trouble.”
  • “I was charged even though I attempted to cancel well within my 15 day window.”

Not everyone felt this way.

  • ”I like that it just comes every month. It’s one less thing for me to have to worry about going out to buy.”
  • “I canceled without any problems and wasn’t charged after the fact.”

Are We Sold on Derma Nova?

While it looks like a pretty solid ingredient profile, the fact that we don’t know anything about the company that makes the product, and there are reports of scams that make us worry. There’s also the problem with missing ingredients. We don’t have any idea if there are irritants and that’s a problem.

What Do We Suggest?

Of all the products we’ve reviewed in 2016, the one that stands out is BioGeniste. The customer reviews are out of this world and it contains clinically tested ingredients – just what customers are looking for.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream Review

Curious about Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream?

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream claims to be a phenomenal anti-aging powerhouse that hydrates and makes skin look younger instantly. The company was founded by Charlotte Tilbury, a British makeup artist with more than two decades of experience in the industry. She is considered by many to be the best in the field. She founded the company in 2013. The initial launch included makeup as well as the magic cream she had been using on clients for years.

What is Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream?

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream is the foundational product of the beauty line. The ingredients include water, homosalate, oat kernel extract, hydrolyzed viola tricolor extract, allantoin, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, disodium edta, tocopheryl acetate, camellia oleifera seed oil, rosa canina fruit oil, rosa damascena flower water, sodium hydroxide, sunflower seed oil, michelia alba leaf oil, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7, ascorbyl palmitate, plumeria rubra flower extract, ascorbic acid, citric acid, nicotiana sylvestris, and more. We didn’t see any parabens or fragrance in the formula.

Quick Facts on Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream

  • The company is relatively new but it has a loyal following of industry insiders.
  • Ingredients include several excellent emollients and anti-irritants.
  • Doesn’t appear to contain parabens or fragrance.
  • While there are some anti-aging ingredients, they are not prominent.
  • The product is quite expensive.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream?

According to our Skincare Editor, “The Magic Cream does indeed have some quality ingredients that should moisturize regular skin. That really seems to be where the magic ends. There are simply not enough high quality ingredients to justify the claims.”

Here’s What People Are Saying

Many users felt the hydration didn’t justify the cost, while others were turned off by the smell.

People complained about the effectiveness in relation to the cost.

  • “This isn’t an anti-aging magical remedy that it claims to be.”
  • “Feels nice and creamy and gives slight sheen but wasn’t moisturizing enough and it wasn’t worth the price.”

Others swear by it.

  • “The magic cream keeps my skin looking dewy and hydrated all day like a celebrity.”
  • “Charlottes magic cream is just magic. It delivers all that it promises.”

Many consumers had an issue with the scent of the product.

  • “The scent lingered way too long for something I didn’t intend to use as perfume.”
  • “It worked ok but the scent gave me a headache.”

While others found it pleasant.

  • “It is extremely hydrating and feels amazing on the skin-and it smells delicious!”
  • “The smell is amazing, I can’t figure it out but maybe smells like roses?”

Are We Sold on Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream?

For the price, we’re skeptical. There are too many complaints about the product being nothing more than a mediocre moisturizer to justify the cost. We expected a popular beauty brand with this sort of price point to provide better results.

Avene Physiolift Review

Do you wonder how Avene Physiolift works?

Avene Physiolift is a full line of skincare products from Avene. The brand is global, available all over the world. The company was first started in 1743, when the first hydrotherapy center was built near the Sainte-Odiie spring in France. Since then the brand has evolved into a full line of products for anti-aging and other dermatological issues. The official website was launched in the United States in 2003.

What is Avene Physiolift?

Avene Physiolift contains several products, including a day smoothing cream, a day smoothing emulsion, a smoothing regenerating night balm, Physiolift Eyes, and a wrinkle filler. The products range in price from $30 to $50 each, depending on the merchant you purchase them from. Some cannot be shipped outside European countries. Ingredients vary by formula but include things like hyaluronic acid mono-oligomers and retinaldehyde.

Quick Facts on Avene Physiolift

  • Safe for sensitive skin.
  • Non-comedogenic, which means it won’t clog your pores.
  • Some of the products can be expensive.
  • Silicones are used.
  • Fragrance may cause skin irritation.
  • All ingredients are listed on the official website.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Avene Physiolift?

“We like that the products are safe for sensitive skin and they won’t clog your pores and contribute to breakouts. But, we don’t really see anything special about the line that makes it more effective than anything else on the market today,” says our Skincare Editor.

Here’s What People Are Saying

People were not pleased with the product formulations, or the effectiveness.

  • ”The only ‘wrinkle-fighter’ present in high amount in the formula is dimethicone. And that works by filling in fine lines and wrinkles, so they look smaller. The other active ingredient is sodium hyaluronate, an humectant that can attract up to 100 times its weight in water. This way, it moisturizes skin without adding even more oil.”
  • “They’re full of chemicals, like silicones, we’re told are bad for us. So, why is Avene, a brand renowned for it sensitive-skin friendly products using them?”

Some people don’t mind.

  • ”Synthetic ingredients, on the other hand, are made with only three or four compounds, so there’s a lot less chance they’ll cause irritations compared to natural plant compounds.”
  • “If it works, it works. It doesn’t have to be natural for me to care.”

Some people weren’t happy with their results, suggesting the products aren’t as effective, or worth the price tag.

  • “It takes weeks to see a small improvement with retinol. With retinal, it takes even longer.”
  • “I paid three times what I would in a drug store, for something that works just as well.”

Others feel the products are effective, you just have to give them time to work.

  • ”Basically, the Day Smoothing Cream does what any good moisturizer is supposed to: it hydrates skin, makes it softer and plumper, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.”
  • “The rich but not-greasy texture hydrates the dry patches under my eyes well, and fills in the small fine lines that are starting to appear at the corners of my eyes, so they look a lot less noticeable.”

Are We Sold on Avene Physiolift?

Not exactly. While there are ingredients known to help improve the appearance of the skin, it doesn’t seem to provide any more value than other products on the market. Some others are actually more affordably priced than this line.

What Do We Suggest?

Of all the products we’ve reviewed in 2016, the one that stands out is BioGeniste. The customer reviews are out of this world and it contains clinically tested ingredients.

Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum Review

Wonder how Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum works?

Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum is a product that promises 24-hour moisturization, without the heaviness of a gel or a cream. Chanel is a privately held French company, that was founded in 1909. It has a line of skin care and make up products, as well as fragrances, fashion items, fine jewelry, and watches. Products are available online and in major department stores worldwide.

What is Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum?

This is part of the Chanel serum line, and one of many Hydra Beauty serum products. It contains camellia micro-droplets, which is a patented technology to deliver camellia oil extract. It also contains camellia alba PFA, an ingredient developed specifically by Chanel scientists, which is supposed to help stimulate the skin’s natural ability to restore and retain moisture. It also features Blue Ginger PFA to help protect the benefits of the other PFA ingredient. The company claims it is one of nature’s most powerful anti-oxidant ingredients.

Quick Facts on Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum

  • Chanel products are expensive, with 1 fl. oz. of this product costing $110.
  • Contains patented ingredients created by Chanel for the purpose of this product line.
  • Complaints of ineffectiveness.
  • Company uses animal testing.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum?

“Chanel is known for being a pricey brand. People expect results for the kind of money they’re shelling out, and some just don’t get them,” says our Skincare Editor.

Here’s What People Are Saying

People complain about the effectiveness and price.

Some people believe the product isn’t effective.

  • ”This serum is nice, but I wouldn’t say it offers the benefits it claims. I haven’t noticed any real difference in my skin after using it daily for two weeks. For the price I would have expected something better.”
  • “I didn’t really see any change in my skin after a month of use.”

Others, however, swear by it.

  • ”I’ve been using this product, for a couple of days now and I like the way it makes my face feel.”
  • “I have been using this for a couple of months and have seen a dramatic difference in my skin, more hydrated and glows.”

A lot of people say the product is pricey.

  • ”It smells so strong, and when I found out it has alcohol in it too…overpriced and nothing genius about it – go for something else than Chanel for your face!!”
  • “The only real cons besides the price is the amount of time it takes to sink in and that it’s easy to re-activate it with sweat.”

Others believe that despite the price, it’s still worth it.

  • ”I have combo skin, more towards oily. I have been using this along with the Hydra Gel and have had good results. Less oily and my skin is soft and toned. A little goes a long way! Pricey, though worth it!”
  • “Bought this for my sister and she loves it. She swears by it. Very expensive but according to her, worth the money.”

Are We Sold on Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum?

For the price, we’re skeptical. There are too many complaints the product doesn’t work, and for such a well-known beauty brand at that price point, we expect results. This is especially true because they formulated a specific ingredient just for the line.

What Do We Suggest?

In 2016, we’ve reviewed hundreds of products and of them all, BioGeniste is the one that stands out. It’s made with clinically tested ingredients and user testimonials talk about some amazing results.

Cellogica Review

Want to know everything about Cellogica?

Cellogica is an anti-aging skin care product, that claims to use stem cell technology, “proven to restore youth.” There are several websites that promote this formula, offering a free trial. As such, we don’t know which one is the official website, and there’s no information about the actual manufacturer readily available. The websites began appearing online in 2014, so it is fairly new.

What is Cellogica?

Cellogica says it relies on stem cell technology to help the skin look and feel more youthful. The main ingredient appears to be made from mallus domesitca, which is a type of apple with a type of alpine rose. This supposedly allows the skin cells to regenerate at faster rates similar to what they did when you were young. Cellogica offers two types of products – a day cream that can be worn under makeup that contains Rona flair, a wrinkle filler – and a night cream that is applied before bed, and allows the skin to restore while you sleep. No information can be found about the differences in ingredients from the day and night cream.

Quick Facts on Cellogica

  • No official website – multiple websites promoting free trials.
  • No information about the product’s manufacturer.
  • Can’t find pricing information.
  • Reports of scams.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Cellogica?

“Stem cells can help turn back the clock, but without more information about the company that makes the product, we can’t really say whether that’s the case this time. With multiple sites promoting a free trial and not providing any real information, there are lots of red flags here,” says our Skincare Editor.

Here’s What People Are Saying

People didn’t like the free trial approach, and weren’t really impressed with their results.

There were lots of people upset by the free trial approach.

  • ”I didn’t like the fact that I had to choose which product to get the free trial of – and then when I tried to cancel, I had a hard time.”
  • “I’d rather just buy the products than to trust an unknown company with my credit card information.”

Others didn’t have any problems.

  • ”I was able to cancel my trial without issue.”
  • “I decided to keep my autoshipment on and haven’t seen any unauthorized charges.”

Some people didn’t think the results were worthy.

  • ”I’ve tried a lot of products, but this one just didn’t do anything for me.”
  • “After using the product for two weeks, I saw or felt no difference in my skin.”

Others disagreed.

  • ”I love both the day and night cream, and think they work wonders together.”
  • “I love the way my skin looks and feels.”

Are We Sold on Cellogica?

Given the lack of information we have about the company and the issues of scam reports, we believe there may be better products out there that can help improve your skin. Therefore, we have reservations about giving this one the thumbs up.

What Do We Suggest?

We have hundreds of reviews under our belt and the top product we found is BioGeniste. We love the clinically tested ingredients and amazing reviews.

Celleral Review

Do you want to know the truth about Celleral?

Celleral is an anti-aging product available only online from the manufacturer. A one-ounce jar is about $100. The serum and eye gel are the only ones offered by the company. The history and website provide no information about the company’s origins and only limited details on their primary product.

What is Celleral?

Celleral is an anti-aging serum designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The primary ingredients are ageireline, matrix, haloxyl, and retinol. The company claims the product delivers results similar to those found in Botox injections, but without the painful injections and the associated risks. The formula is easy to use and supposedly provides quick results. The business also recommends using their advanced eye gel for maximum results.

Quick Facts on Celleral

  • Claims to be as effective as Botox.
  • Limited ingredient list.
  • Difficult to obtain.
  • High price point.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Celleral?

According to our Skincare Editor, “The prospect of a topically applied product that is as effective as Botox is certainly intriguing. It’s too bad the company offers absolutely no proof their product works as claimed.”

Here’s What People Are Saying

People were very unhappy with the results for the price of the product.

The results were not what many people expected.

  • “My eyes were irritated after the first time I tried this. No, thanks.”
  • “I don’t really have sensitive skin but this product made my face hurt.”

While others were pleased with the results.

  • “This worked even better than my Botox injections, I couldn’t be happier!”
  • “I’ve tried a lot of anti-aging products, this is one of my favorites.”

Many people felt the product was overpriced.

  • “I cannot believe I spent so much money on something that didn’t work at all.”
  • “I skipped Botox and did this instead. What a waste.”

Others felt the results were in line with the price.

  • “Results like Botox are going to cost more, it was worth it.”
  • “I expect to pay more for good skincare. If it works as well as they say I’m fine with the price.”

Are We Sold on Celleral?

Are we rushing out to buy Celleral before our next class reunion? Sadly, we don’t think it is effective enough to gamble on a big night. There were some promising reviews but the overall lack of information, excessive cost, and complete lack of clinically tested ingredients keeps us from being feeling comfortable recommending this product.

What Do We Suggest?

We’ve reviewed tons of products in 2016 and the one that stands out is BioGeniste. It’s made with clinically tested ingredients and user reviews are out of this world.

Aimee Cream Review

Are you curious about how Aimee Cream works?

Aimee Cream is a wrinkle cream available with a free trial. The official website doesn’t provide any information about the manufacturer, and was registered online in May 2015. The domain age tells this is a relatively new product.

What is Aimee Cream?

Aimee Cream is an anti-aging wrinkle cream. We don’t know who makes it, but the official website tells us it contains vitamin C, and is an all natural formula with peptides. Vitamin C is well known for skin care, because it helps prevent the formation of wrinkles and helps boost collagen production. The topical application is more effective against aging than consuming it orally. We don’t know what peptides are in the formula, or where they come from.

Quick Facts on Aimee Cream

  • No full list of ingredients available.
  • No information on the manufacturer.
  • Website is barely over a year old at the time of this review.
  • Free trial with auto-ship requirements.
  • Reports of scams.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Aimee Cream?

“When you consider the lack of information we have about this product and its manufacturer, combined with the fact that you cannot just purchase it out right, there are red flags,” says our Skincare Editor.

Here’s What People Are Saying

Some people felt like the cream did nothing to help their skin.

  • ”There’s nothing special about this cream. I didn’t see results even after using it for a full month.”
  • “This cream irritated my skin.”

Others, however, felt it did exactly what it promised.

  • ”I saw results in two weeks, so I decided to keep my autoshipment running.”
  • “This stuff really helped diminish the appearance of my lines and wrinkles.”

Some felt the autoshipment was nothing more than a scam.

  • ”I had issues canceling my autoshipment, and was charged for additional product I didn’t want.”
  • “14 day trial? I was charged the next day!”

Others had zero issues dealing with the company.

  • ”I got the free trial, used the product, and decided to cancel. I had no issues getting my order canceled before I was charged the full price.”
  • “After my 14 day trial, I ordered a month’s supply and then canceled without any problems.”

Are We Sold on Aimee Cream?

Honestly, there’s nothing about this cream that makes us think it would be better than other more readily available Vitamin C creams on the market today. We have reservations about recommending products when we can’t find out more about the company that makes the it.

What Do We Suggest?

We’ve reviewed a lot of skin care and anti-aging products this year, and many of them just don’t make the cut. The one that really got our attention is BioGeniste, because it’s made with scientifically tested ingredients, and customers can’t stop raving about it.

Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus Review

Are you at least a little curious about Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus?

Repairwear Laser Focus is an anti-aging line from Clinique – a well-known company. You can purchase it from the official website, which is a positive. Returns are accepted, but there’s no time limit in the policy. The business has been around for a long time and online since 1994.

What is Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus?

Clinique Laser Focus is a range of products that includes Night Line Smoothing; Smooths, Restores and Corrects; and Wrinkle Correcting Eye Cream. Prices are comparable to other higher end lines, so it’s relatively affordable. There are no ingredients listed on the official website, but thanks to some customer reviews, we know some include butylene glycol, methyl trimethicone, polysilicone-11, acetyl hexapeptide-8, caffeine, tocopheryl acetate and hyaluronic acid. We did not find mention of parabens. We do know Clinique does not believe in animal testing.

Quick Facts on Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus

  • There is a return policy so if you’re not satisfied you’re covered.
  • There’s no time limit mentioned for the guarantee.
  • The prices are comparable to other, similar brands.
  • We found no parabens in any ingredient list.
  • Clinique does not partake in animal testing.
  • You can purchase from the company or websites like Amazon.
  • All products are fragrance-free.

What’s Our Skincare Editor’s Take on Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus?

“It’s not a good thing that Clinique doesn’t bother to share ingredient information with customers,” explains our Skincare Editor. “How is the potential buyer supposed to know if irritants or allergens are included?”

Here’s What People Are Saying

There are users who found Clinique Laser Focus to be ineffective.

  • “I have been using it for a month with no improvement in my skin. Not even a change of any type. I may as well be putting water on my face.”
  • “I am discouraged. Products that state certain results and I use a product faithfully and not seeing any changes, its maddening.”

Others did like the results they saw with regular use.

  • “I’ve tried a full bottle of this product and it is…effective.”
  • “I used it twice a day. I did not breakout and my skin felt softer after a few weeks.”

We also found a few that reported a reaction of some kind.

  • “I applied this serum on my skin and it made my skin burnt up. It became red and I had reaction with it.”
  • “I put on as directed and my skin became red and blotchy.”

We have to note there are those that saw no such reaction – just good results.

  • “I like Clinique in general but I have come to really like this product. It is thin and leave a great feeling on the skin.”
  • “I like repair wear. It goes on smooth and penetrates skin immediately. Leaves my face feeling soft and hydrated.”

Are We Ready to Buy Up Some Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus?

We like that this product is available from a trusted company like Clinique, but Repairwear Laser Focus may not be the best anti-aging line out there. First off, there are multiple products that aim to fight wrinkles and fine lines. It only takes one great formula to treat the entire face, even around the eyes. And, the company doesn’t give the customer the information they need to make an educated decision.

What Do We Like Better Than Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus?

Our favorite anti-aging solution in 2016 is one called BioGeniste. You can use the clinically tested ingredients to treat wrinkles and fine lines all over the face. There’s no need for three or four different products.

Vine Vera Review

Wonder how Vine Vera works?

Vine Vera skin care company with a variety of products. They have multiple collections, all named after wines. One is vitamin C based, another is merlot based, and some use multiple ingredients, but all of them include resveratrol. The official website was purchased in 2011, and the company got its US start in 2012, since expanding to become a global brand.

What is Vine Vera?

Vine Vera Resveratrol Skin Care has multiple products for your body, eyes, and face. We’ll be taking a closer look at the Resveratrol Moisture Day Cream, to see how it stacks up to other anti-aging skin care products available on the market today. Ingredients include glycerin, resveratrol, alcohol, propylene glycol, fragrance, and several others.

Quick Facts on Vine Vera

  • Products are expensive, some of them are over $100 each.
  • Cruelty-free.
  • Contains parabens.
  • Fragrance may irritate some people.
  • Contains alcohol, which may cause skin damage.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Vine Vera?

“Vine Vera products are expensive. There isn’t much to separate them from all other products available on the market today in terms of ingredients, which makes the price questionable,” says our Skincare Editor.

Here’s What People Are Saying

Many reviews say the product wasn’t moisturizing enough.

  • ”This is a total scam! The 3rd ingredient in this moisturizer is propylene glycol, which is an ingredient in anti-freeze! The first ingredient is water! That is expensive water.”
  • “Too expensive and not as thick as it used to be!!”

Others, however, felt Vine Vera did a good job.

  • “The moisture day cream was so smooth and non-oily. It felt super great on the skin and my skin looked much smoother after applying the product.”
  • “Works like a MIRACLE! I use this cream everyday, and it has greatly improved the appearance my skin. It worked right away. So I don’t understand the other reviews which are negative.”

The price is prohibitive for people, even those who otherwise like the product.

  • ”Love this moisturizer. I wish it had sunscreen built into it (SPF 30) I would give it 5 stars if the price wasn’t so high.”
  • “I got a sample of this cream and I love it, but it’s too expensive for me…wish it was cheaper I don’t think you have to pay a lot for a product for it to work.”

Yet, there were plenty of people who didn’t seem to be bothered by price.

  • ”It soaks right in and does not leave any greasy feeling whatsoever on your skin. This cream is unlike any other cream that I have used.”
  • “This product is expensive but quality is rarely cheap.”

Are We Sold on Vine Vera?

We see nothing special about the Vine Vera products that make us think they are worth spending that kind of money on. With the complaints of ineffectiveness and lack of value for the price, we believe there are plenty of other anti-aging products on the market that will do a better job for a lesser price.

What Do We Suggest?

Sukin Review

What does Sukin really do?

Sukin is an organic skin care line based out of Australia. The company was launched in Melbourne in 2007, with a focus on organic, sustainable ingredients. They have a wide variety of products including cleansers, exfoliators, and toners, moisturizers, hair and body care products, oils, serums, and more.

What is Sukin?

Sukin skin care has an expansive line of products, and makes it easy for people to shop by need, or by skincare type. We’ll be taking a closer look at the Sukin facial moisturizer, since using a moisturizer is an important part of an anti-aging skin care routine. The main ingredients are aloe vera, rose hip oil, avocado oil, and sesame seed oil. In the US, products can only be found in some Marshalls and TJ Maxx stores and online at Amazon.

Quick Facts on Sukin

  • Products are paraben free.
  • Contains irritants like limonene and linalool (naturally found in essential oils), and citrus extracts.
  • No products include SPF protection.
  • May only be available online via Amazon.
  • Some products are dedicated to anti-aging.
  • Finding a complete list of ingredients is nearly impossible.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Sukin?

“We like all-natural, paraben-free, sustainable products. However, the natural ingredients in essential oils and aloe have been known to irritate skin for some people,” says our Skincare Editor.

Here’s What People Are Saying

There are complaints about effectiveness, as many people say their skin was left feeling dry.

  • ”…but it’s not winter anymore and the weather is fantastic and yet my skin feels dry after i apply this cream.”
  • “Because it doesn’t have all the chemicals that most skincare products have, I had high hopes for a moisturizer I could stay with. This just isn’t the one. When I first apply it I like the way it feels but as it penetrates, my skin feels very dry. I apply more but it still feels the same – very dry.”

Not everyone got these results, however.

  • ”The moisturizer is very light and absorbs readily. I am generally wary about using moisturizers as I am still prone to breakouts. This has been very gentle — no irritation and no breakouts.”
  • “While this lotion doesn’t completely alleviate my flaky skin, it has helped it significantly enough that my skin does not look or feel dry with foundation on nor are there any noticeable patches of flaky skin.”

Lots of people said it caused them to break out with acne, some of which was cystic and severe.

  • ”After a week of using it, it broke me out so severely that it drove me to the point of tears. I had completely clear, flawless skin before I started using this moisturiser – and a week later my cheeks were completely red and inflamed and my entire forehead was full of pimples”
  • “Arghhh! This product caused me to have really bad cystic acne. It was the only product in my routine I changed so I know it was caused by this product. I had no idea it was so pore clogging.”

Fortunately, not everyone felt this way.

  • ”It absorbs nicely into my skin and leaves it soft and ready for make up. And I love that it is cruelty free, vegan and all natural.”
  • “This is my new go to brand, extremely cheap, environmentally and skin friendly! WIN!”

Are We Sold on Sukin?

We love the paraben-free, cruelty-free, vegan status of the brand, but the fact that many people complained about being broken out after using this product, along with the issues of effectiveness, leaves us wanting more from Sukin skincare. Sure, you can fight lines and wrinkles, but what’s it worth if you’re left with other skin care problems as a result?

Our favorite anti-aging product of 2016 is BioGeniste. The customer reviews are outstanding and it contains scientifically tested ingredients.

Mizon Review

Do you wonder how Mizon works?

Mizon is a line of skin care products from Korea. Though there is an official website, it is based in Korea, and even WHOIS data doesn’t provide information about when the domain was registered. The products are available from several merchants including: Amazon, Peach & Lily, Cult Beauty, and more.

What is Mizon?

Mizon skin care is a South Korean skin care line. There are a variety of products including toners, cleansers, makeup, masks, moisturizing creams, and body and hair products, with some aimed at anti-aging. There does not appear to be a money-back guarantee for the products. Little information is available on the ingredients – as many products have pages that lack product descriptions.

Quick Facts on Mizon

  • Variety of products available to address skin care needs.
  • Anti-aging is not the main focus of the line.
  • Ingredient information is spotty – a main product uses 92% snail mucus.
  • No information on a money-back guarantee.
  • Some products are paraben and fragrance free

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Mizon?

“Mizon products seem to be hit or miss – some have good reviews, while others do not. It really depends on your skin type and skin care goals,” says our Skincare Editor. “The line’s not that big in the anti-aging market.”

Here’s What People Are Saying

Lots of people wanted to return it because of heavy and greasiness, and others had reports of suspicious packaging.

  • ”I wanted to return immediately. The first few minutes, it made my face smooth but five minutes later, it made my face a little bit itchy at some spots.”
  • “I used this cream before for face occasionally, and for some stretch marks on my belly before, and within few consecutive days the red raised marks and itchiness went away. It was a colorless, light cream that gets absorbs easily. It’s fragrance free and smells like chemical in a way. I liked it because it was so effective.”

But, not everyone feels this way.

  • ”One of the second Korean lines I tried was the Mizon “Snail” line. I got the all-in-one cream, the intensive ampoule, the gel cream and the eye cream. I don’t use them during the day, as they don’t leave a pretty finish or work under make-up, but their nightly use has yielded FANTASTIC change in the quality of my skin.”
  • “Dries clear and smooth, goes on well under moisturizer or sunscreen without ‘pilling’ (like some other Snail products). No magic claims made, but it does give a smooth, temporarily tighter finish to my whole face and neck – my upper eyelids love it- and speeds healing of acne scars and fever blisters.”

Amazon reviews report several suspicious packaging when they received it.

  • ”When I received this product it looked like it was partially used. The outside of the box was dented and when I opened up the box the lid was scratched up. When I opened the lid the product was slightly oozing from the container because the safety seal was half opened.”
  • “I feel like I got ripped off. When I received the package I was expecting an authentic seal and a general seal with the item. It was messy trying to open it because the seal that keeps the product inside was HALFWAY open. I feel like I got a used piece and like an unvalued customer. What is the definition of new? Definitely not this.”

Fortunately, not all customers saw this experience.

  • “This is a very light weight facial cream that is a fantastic choice for those with combo skin or for Summer wear. I purchased this during the Winter months.”
  • “This cream makes my skin feel really soft, and it calms the redness on my face. It doesn’t break me out and it absorbs very quickly. I bought this cream solely to help with my acne scars, but I don’t really see a difference. Also, don’t count on this to moisture your face. You’ll need a moisturizer/emulsion. If you have oily skin like me and you’re just looking for a lightweight cream to improve the texture of your skin, I would recommend this. The entire jar lasted me about 2.5 months (just so you know how much you’re getting for the price).”

Are We Sold on Mizon?

Mizon has a slew of products to choose from, so we’re certain there’s something that will work for you – depending on your skin type and your skin care needs. Our issues are with the fact that the products we researched may not arrive to you in new condition, and they may cause issues with skin redness, dryness, and flaking, which certainly isn’t good for aging skin. Why try to fight wrinkles with something that could cause more problems?

What Do We Like Better Than Mizon Products?

Of all the products we’ve reviewed in 2016, the one that stands out is BioGeniste. The customer reviews are out of this world and it contains clinically tested ingredients.

Shiseido Ultimune Review

Have questions about whether or not Shiseido Ultimune works?

Shiseido Ultimune is a full line of skin care products. The brand has been in business for more than two decades. You can find it online, as well as in stores. Orders come with a 30-day money-back guarantee, when ordered direct – and there’s an auto-shipment program available to keep you from running out of your favorites.

What is Shiseido Ultimune?

The Ultimune line includes the Shiseido eye cream, and the power infusing concentrate, among others. The most common ingredients include rose water, yeast, gingko biloba extract, thyme and shiso. We have no idea the complete details of any formula. Plus, there’s no FAQ section to tell us about animal testing or parabens.

Quick Facts on Shiseido Ultimune

  • There’s a face and eye concentrate.
  • You can use the products individually or together.
  • We didn’t find a complete list of ingredients.
  • We have no idea if parabens are used.
  • No information on animal testing.
  • Reviews are available on the official website.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Shiseido Ultimune?

“One of the most common problems with skincare products like this is a lack of information,” says our Skincare Editor. “We have no ingredient list, so how’s the customer supposed to know about potential irritation? When fighting premature aging, this is an important factor.”

Here’s What People Are Saying

The reviews are mixed. While some love the products, others aren’t exactly sold – citing ineffectiveness and price as issues.

Some say the product is not as effective as other Shiseido Skincare products.

  • “I don’t really understand the benefit of ‘boosting’ the serum because I thought all the various serums I’ve been sold are supposed to be so excellent.”
  • “I love the scent of the serum but I think that this serum is responsible for clogging my pores. I had 5 pimples and blackheads where I don’t normally get clogged pores. I stopped this and my skin has slowly cleared up.”

But others love their results.

  • “I can definitely see instant result after just a few uses. My skin is noticeably more even and radiant than ever. The packaging has a very high end feeling as well.”
  • “This makes my skin look brighter and smoother. I’ve been using it after I wash my face before bed and in the morning before makeup.”

Many feel the products are expensive.

  • “This is a costly investment, even if it does last a while.”
  • “It’s cheaper at Amazon, but still pricey.”

Others feel that despite the price, the results make it worth it.

  • “This is expensive but worth it.”

Are We Sold on Shiseido Ultimune?

There’s little doubt, if only based on some reviews, that this line is moisturizing. However, we have reservations because we have no idea what ingredients are used, other than those revealed. We’re left with questions about possible irritation and more.

What Do We Like Better Than Shiseido Ultimune?

Of all the products we’ve reviewed in 2016, the one that stands out is BioGeniste. The customer reviews are amazing and it contains clinically tested ingredients.

Sanitas Skincare Review

Need to know how Sanitas Skincare works?

Sanitas Skincare is a full line of anti-aging products that focuses on using the power of plants and natural ingredients to boost the skin. While the company looks to have a solid following, we don’t have much information about how long they’ve been in business and their background in the industry.

What is Sanitas Skincare?

Sanitas skin care products are available online at various websites. Products include everything from serums to moisturizes and creams. There are products specifically designed for aging skin, acne, sun damage, dark circles, puffiness, and more. A few ingredients are listed for each formula and include acetyl glutamyl heptapeptide, tetrapeptide-7 palmitoyl and phospholipids. There is no mention of parabens, fragrance or animal testing.

Quick Facts on Sanitas Skincare

  • All natural beauty and skin care products.
  • Several formulas available for multiple skin issues.
  • Can’t be purchased online directly from the manufacturer.
  • We have no idea if parabens are used.
  • No complete list of ingredients is available.
  • We found nothing about animal testing, or lack thereof.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Sanitas Skincare?

“We love that these products use natural ingredients and that there is a full range to choose from, including cleansers, toners, and moisturizers, and more. However, we do have some reservations because there is no complete list of ingredients. There could be irritants in there and that’s an issue,” says our Skincare Editor.

Here’s What People Are Saying

People have complaints about some of the products and their prices as well as effectiveness.

Many of the products are pricey.

  • ”These products are really expensive, depending on which ones you choose.”
  • “All natural products shouldn’t be this expensive”

There were others willing to pay the price to get the results they were looking for.

  • ”Even though the products are pricey, they are worth the investment.”
  • “Though I didn’t like the price tag, I felt I got a good value.”

People also found the products ineffective, even with the guidelines to help you choose the right products for your skin type.

  • ”After only a couple of weeks, my skin is completely wrecked. My face has become super dry. Tight and uncomfortable.”
  • “It did not soak into my dry skin at all! And I had to use sooo much of it to get it to spread on my face :(.“

Others maintain they got excellent results.

  • ”Texture is softer, smoother, pores appear smaller and skin tone brighter/even.”
  • “I’m impressed with the results of the toner.”

Are We Sold on Sanitas Skincare?

Some of the Sanitas Skincare products definitely have better reviews than others – and it all comes down to using the right formulas for your skin type. But, it seems to be hit or miss and there are far too many questions about ingredients to support this line 100%.

What Do We Like Better Than Sanitas Skincare?

Of all the products we’ve reviewed in 2016, the one that stands out is BioGeniste. The customer reviews are out of this world and it contains clinically tested ingredients.

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream Review

What does Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream really do?

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is one of many skincare and anti-aging products from Oil of Olay. The brand is well known, as they’ve been in business since 1949. You can’t purchase directly from the official website, but it does point you in the right direction and give you information on prices across the internet. For this reason, there is no return policy.

What is Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream?

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is one of many products in the Olay Regenerist skincare line. Ingredients in the formula include niacinimide, panthenol, tocopherol acetate and fragrance. The amino peptides may help with overall skin health, but irritation is a real threat. It’s supposed to hydrate and work against the signs of aging.

Quick Facts on Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream

  • Affordably priced moisturizer.
  • Available online and in retail stores.
  • Reports of side effects.
  • Part of a larger line of skin care products.
  • A complete list of ingredients is available online.
  • Fragrance is added – may cause irritation.
  • Skin irritation can promote the aging process.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream?

“Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream works with amino peptides and B vitamins to hydrate and heal skin,” says our Skincare Editor. “Though the price is affordable and it’s widely available, we have issues with the fact that fragrance is used.”

Here’s What People Are Saying

The reviews are certainly mixed, with many complaints of ineffectiveness and side effects.

Though some loved the product, others say it was ineffective.

  • “I am disappointed. I have been faithfully using this product and am now at the end of the Jar & do not see any improvements.”
  • “I’m on my second jar of this and the serum which goes on first. I see no difference from any other product. Worse – after gently rubbing in, it rolls off like peeling skin. I assume it doesn’t really sink in.”

Others, however, believe the product to be a life saver.

  • ”I have been using the Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream along with other Regenerist products for several years. I have been ‘mistaken’ for a MUCH younger woman especially since I started using this product.”
  • “From the moment this went on my skin, I knew it was special. Have been using for years, will continue using all the Olay Regenerist products.”

A few people experienced side effects as a result of using this product.

  • ”Was hoping for good results, however within two days of use saw significant skin irritation and discomfort.”
  • “Knowing Olay I thought this product would be a good replacement. It has one nothing to smooth my skin. Got much worse.”

Still, plenty of others used it without issues.

  • ”This product is amazing and results happen fast like never before.”
  • “It makes me look and feel very young. It’s easy to use and feels good on my skin. I could see the difference on the first day that used it.”

Are We Sold on Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream?

While we believe it’s an affordably priced moisturizer that works well for some people, we still advise approaching with caution because of reports of redness and other skin irritation. If you have sensitive skin, it may be best to try a different product.

What Do We Like Better Than Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream?

Our favorite product of all the ones we’ve reviewed so far in 2016 is BioGeniste. The clinically tested ingredients combined with the stellar customer feedback lets us know it’s worth the investment.

Dior Capture Totale Review

Curious about Dior Capture Totale?

Dior Capture Totale is a complete skincare system from designer Christian Dior. The brand is associated with luxury, and is European. It was founded in 1946, and has become synonymous with premium goods. The Dior skincare line is aimed at women with aging skin, and it is expensive. Beyond the cleansing products, there’s also a line of makeup by the same name.

What is Dior Capture Totale?

Dior Capture Totale is a complete skin care package featuring a cleanser and primer, an activator serum, a moisturizer, and finishing products with sun screen. You do not have to use all the products, but the package is supposed to work well when used together. We did not find a complete list of ingredients, only mention of some key ones here and there. There is no gluten or animal testing.

Quick Facts on Dior Capture Totale

  • Available in a full line of skin care products.
  • Premium brand means an expensive price tag.
  • Available online and in stores.
  • We have no idea if there are parabens in the formulas.
  • A complete list of ingredients is not available.
  • Products are gluten free.
  • No animal testing is completed.

What’s the Skincare Editor’s Take on Dior Capture Totale?

“If you’re looking for Dior dream skin, you may not be happy with the results or the price tag,” said our Skincare Editor. “The company doesn’t tell you the ingredients or if there are parabens in the formulas. All we do know is that it contains no gluten and it’s not tested on animals.”

Here’s What People Are Saying

There are people who’re happy with Dior Capture Totale, but others have some concerns. Effectiveness and price are two common issues.

Multiple reviews complained about effectiveness.

  • ”Dior has made some impressive claims about its Total Capture line, many of which are almost too good to believe.”
  • “I am 33 and recently noticed a very fine line between my eyebrows unfortunately!! It is very hard to see though. Anyhow this cream didn’t help reducing it or correcting it. No change at all.”

Several people thought it was worth the investment.

  • ”This is so fabulous that I noticed a difference day ONE…I am…happy with the results.”
  • “If you’re starting to see signs of aging and want to reverse them – try this product.”

The luxury price point makes it unattainable for many, and some who purchase it don’t think it’s worth the investment.

  • ”The biggest down side is the price. I am no stranger to high end skin care, and have no problem shelling out $$$ for skin care that works, but no way is this worth the $115 price tag even if it is Dior. A $65 price point is more fitting.”
  • “Works great, however it is expensive.”

The price didn’t bother everyone, though…

  • “I’ve been using it for 3 wks and I think it works really well. No more breakouts! Skin’s clearer and smoother.”
  • “Yes, this stuff is super expensive, but it actually does everything it promises.”

Are We Sold on Dior Capture Totale?

Not quite. While we think Dior is a good quality luxury brand, we don’t see anything about it that makes it better than other more affordably priced products out there. When you consider that some people didn’t get good results, it may be worth trying other, often less expensive, formulas.

What Do We Like Better Than Dior Capture Totale?

BioGeniste is our favorite product of 2016. The clinically tested ingredients and raving customer reviews let us know it’s working and people love it.

Ponds Age Miracle Review

Are you curious about Ponds Age Miracle?

Ponds is a well-known skincare company that’s been around for decades. The official website was purchased in 1999, but the history stretches much further back in time. You cannot buy directly, but Amazon and other retailers do sell the products.

Ponds Age Miracle is an anti-aging skincare line available online and in stores. Ingredients include cyclopentasiloxane, titanium dioxide, sunflower oil, ginger root extract, fragrance and propylparaben. We also found the irritants limonene and geraniol.

What’s Our Skincare Editor’s Take on Ponds Age Miracle?

“We found a few hydrating and skin smoothing ingredients in the Ponds Age Miracle line, but we found irritants as well,” says our Skincare Editor. “These can cause skin damage that leads to premature aging. That’s not what you want if you’re using an anti-aging formula.”

Here’s What People Are Saying

We found it difficult to find many customer reviews. One issue we did find is lackluster results. Not everyone saw Ponds Age Miracle as a miracle.

  • “It doesn’t repair anything…. it’s no miracle …….it’s just a nice night cream.”

But, we did find someone who disagreed.

  • “Leaves my skin soft and moisturized. I find it better than more expensive brands I’ve tried in the past.”

Have We Decided to Take a Chance on Ponds Age Miracle?

Well, not exactly. We have strong reservations about any product formulated outside the United States. It is sold via Amazon and the prices are affordable, but there are irritants in the mix and that could cause skin damage and signs of premature aging. You can find formulas in the US that work without irritation.

What Do We Like Better Than Ponds Age Miracle?

Among all the reviews we’ve completed in 2016, the one that stands out is BioGeniste. Customer testimonials are amazing and all ingredients have been clinically tested. It also helps that it is sold right here in the United States.
