The Bioque website claims that the Bioque Serum is “the Botox alternative that packs a peptide punch”. The product claims to reduce and prevent the appearance of wrinkles and repair structural damage deep under the surface of the skin. The site also states that most users will see visible results in as little as 15-30 days. The company recommends that you apply the serum to clean, dry skin morning and night until you begin to see results, and then once a day after that. It adds that you only need a small amount of the serum with each application, making the product a bit more cost effective than other formulas that must continue to be applied twice a day in larger amounts. You can purchase the Bioque Serum products from retailers and salons, or directly from the company website. We also found the serum offered through some online retailers, although the manufacturer discourages this method of sale.

So what allows Bioque to make such grand claims and promises about its touted “wonder” serum? The main reason is that this formula includes argireline in a concentration of 20% – twice what many other anti-aging products offer and what is recommended for results. Argireline is a valuable anti-aging ingredient because it relaxes the facial muscles that can lead to lines and wrinkles. This is the same process that is accomplished through Botox treatments, which is why the Bioque Serum XL is touted as an effective Botox alternative.

In addition, this product contains Matrixyl 3000, which is another proven anti-aging ingredient that promotes the natural production of collagen by the skin. Since we lose collagen as we get older, which contributes to aging skin and wrinkles, promoting collagen production is another effective method of turning back the clock on our skin. Another ingredient, B-peptide EL also contributes to this process and the two ingredients are found in the Bioque serum in a hefty concentration of 5%.
