Peter Belisi created the Belisi skin care line when he was bartending in Palm Beach. The products were aimed at people who wanted to appear more beautiful for an affordable price. The major products offered by Belisi include fashion accessories and clothing, but there is a skin care line hidden in the pages of the website. The skin care products are offered on their own separate website and include the Belisi Skin Tightener. At the time of this review, there does not seem to be any other Belisi skin care products listed on the website.

The official Belisi skin care website includes contact information and offers the consumer the ability to order the Belisi Skin Tightener directly from the website. There is also a “free trial” with the Belisi Skin Tightener offered at just $1.00 plus shipping and handling. While this is not “free”, it is a chance for the consumer to try the product without much up front cost.

Product Details

The ingredients of the Belisi Skin Tightener are Deionized Water, Green Tea Extract, Witch Hazel Extract, Glycerol Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Hydrolyzed Wheat Gluten, Ceratonia Siliqua Gum, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Shea Butter, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, PEG 8 Oligopeptide, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate VP Copolymer, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, PPG-12 SMDI/Copolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium EDTA, Xanthan Gum, Peppermint Oil and Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate. Green tea extract is known to have antiseptic qualities, but this is the only ingredient that will help improve the look of the skin.

The key ingredient have been known to cause irritation in users with sensitive skin and the witch hazel is another irritating ingredient. There is even peppermint oil included in the Belisi Skin Tightener which is commonly used to plump the lips naturally. While this plumping effect may be one of the ways the product helps to tighten the skin, there needs to be a warning for consumers with sensitive skin and that warning is not posted on the website.

The Good

  • With the purchase of one bottle of Belisi Skin Tightener, two more are sent free.
  • The website includes direct ordering and contact information.
  • A complete ingredient list is provided.

The Bad

  • The “free” trial is not really free.
  • Several of the ingredients in the Belisi Skin Tightener are known to cause skin irritation, but no warning is provided.
  • The shipping and handling on the “free” trial is $14.99.
  • There are no ingredients known to reduce the signs of aging or the effect of aging.

The Bottom Line

The Belisi product line was created to be affordable and that the company has done. The anti-aging product, however, does not match up to the other anti-aging products available on the market today. The “free” trial is not free and the cost of the product is $69.95 plus additional shipping of $14.99. That makes the total price for the product an astounding $88.93 with the “luxury” packaging included at $3.99 more. We cannot support this product because it seems they are trying to edge more and more money from the consumer without providing a truly anti-aging product.

Consumers looking for anti-aging treatments should look for products with clinical evidence showing their products can produce results. The ingredients list should be complete and a trust worthy company will provide a free trial that is really free or at least a money back guarantee. Consumers looking to reduce wrinkles and fine lines should consider a product containing Matrixyl 3000 or Argatensyl. Both of these products have several clinical trials showing their effectiveness to reduce the signs of aging.

Buyers Beware!! Belisi is a scam!

Belisi is a total scam. The “free trial” is not free and if you don’t cancel within l5 days you are automatically shipped more at 65.00 a jar and cannot return it even if you did not open it. Was on the phone for over an hour and had no luck. Only someone on the other end of the phone saying they were sorry but that’s company policy! Well they can take their policy and ??>>XX it!!!

I ordered a product, 3 bottles for $69.95 in March. After 4 calls I still have not received the product. I asked to credit my account for the amount, since I did not receive the goods I ordered. I was told by a rep from this company that they couldn’t credit my account until they received my returned product. Are they nuts? I am contacting the Attorney General’s office to complain about this fraudulent company and it’s cams.

Do not buy from this company. Called 3 times because didn’t receive the product. Finally got it 5 days after the deadline date (I was not aware of)to stop the auto shipment and charge for the following month. How could I try the product without receiving this – customer service is NO HELP, cannot reverse charge per company policy.

They would not even give me the option of sending product back to get money back. and they charged me twice.

I too am going to contact the attorney general because this is the third company to do this to me. It would be nice if we can talk to the same person. if you want to talk to me and go to them together my email is raeannashbaugh@comcast.net. Thanks.

This company is completely unethical! If I could rate it, I would give two thumbs WAY down! They advertised a 30 day trial and charged me $99.97 just 14 days later! When I tried to call and cancel, I got the run around until my bank rep called! Even worse, after I tried to cancel, they charged me another $99.97 fee just 9 days later (right after I was assured that my account would be frozen to give me time to cancel)! My bank could only reimburse one of the charges and now my account is sitting in the negative. I eventually had to cancel my credit card and order a new number! This company sucks! I WANT my $99.97 back!

This is what my Chase Claims rep advised me to do. I really don’t have time to go to small claims court for $99.97 but I support your claim against Belisi Fashion. They are terribly unethical.

HORRID customer service while trying to cancel my “free trial” and the ensuing automatic-subscription. This is a terrible company to be doing business with. Prepare to jump through hoops, call, be put on hold, not listened to, repeated the same scripted responses every time, hear offer after offer to keep you lining their pockets from your bank account. By the way, their email customer service option? Provides you the phone number to call their SALES department.
*******There is NO customer service department, only sales!!********
If you aren’t in cahoots with this company STAY FAR AWAY, and if you are, my condolences, I too was a victim of their frustrating and unethical treatment of honest customers.
They can’t pay their workers enough to carry out this sort of inhumane unethical business on other people.. Bless them for keeping their cool and doing their jobs, but down with this company!

I am furious about the so-called free trial scam; they automatically send the next full size and charged me #89.98. I have been trying to return it and get a refund. At first was told the corporate office would send me an email with instructions on how to return it. Today I was told the corporate office would not authorize the return and that they had no address or phone number for the office. I then asked where they were incorporated and filed a complaint with both my bank and the Florida Attorney General (where they are incorporated, supposedly).

They are a total SCAM. They will NEVER allow you to cancel. Had to file a claim with my credit card company. Also filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau. I hope they go down.
