Aveeno is a well known and respected brand that produces a variety of skin care, bath and body, and beauty products. Aveeno produces lotions, facial cleansers, and even anti-aging products in addition to their lines of shampoo, conditioners, and body washes. Aveeno is best known for providing natural products to promote a healthy body, rather than using synthetic chemicals.

Product Details

The Aveeno Positively Ageless Night Cream is a cream formulated with shitake mushrooms, oats, soy, and feverfew. The shitake mushrooms will help the skin appear more youthful in just four weeks of use. The oats sooth and protect the skin to relieve itchy. The soy helps with blotches and discoloration. The feverfew helps to remove redness and calm skin irritation. These are the same ingredients as the ones in the daily moisturizer but this claims to be formulated to work at night. Since we can’t see the difference between the amounts of each in each formula, we don’t see any difference between the formulas.

• There is not a full ingredient list for this product on the manufacturer’s website.
• There are no customer testimonials on the manufacturer’s website.

• Though the products may be available online through various retailers, they cannot be purchased from the Aveeno website.
• This product shares the same basic ingredients as the Positively Ageless Daily Moisturizer, so we don’t see how the two are different or how one would benefit from using the two products together.

The Bottom Line

This product may be a good alternative to the daily lotion that you may want to use on a regular basis to keep the skin healthy, but it likely won’t provide the anti-aging results you are looking for. Since this is not a product from a company dedicated solely to anti-aging and the products are so affordable and widely available, they likely aren’t the same quality as the higher end products. When we compare it to the daily moisturizer from the same product line, we don’t see any notable or considerable differences between the two, and therefore cannot justify using them both together. We suggest you find an anti-aging product that contains proven ingredients and can show favorable clinical results.
