Aveeno is a well known and respected brand that produces a variety of skin care and beauty products. In addition to their shampoos, conditioners, and body washes, Aveeno produces lotions, facial cleansers, and even anti-aging products. Aveeno is known for providing natural products that are good for the body.
Product Details
The Aveeno Ageless Daily Moisturizer is part of the Aveeno Ageless product line. It is a lotion intended to be used daily to keep the skin looking youthful. It claims to be able to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while also producing softer, smoother skin. The only ingredients Aveeno talks about in depth in this formula are the shitake mushroom complex, which just claims to produce younger looking skin naturally within four weeks, oats, soy, and feverfew. Oats protect the skin and relieve itch. Soy reduces discoloration. Feverfew has been shown to reduce redness in the skin within a week and otherwise calms irritation. We don’t see any clinical research to support these claims, and all that’s said is shitake mushrooms were recognized centuries ago by Eastern medicine for their medicinal properties. We’d feel more comfortable with the formula if we could see the full ingredient lis to determine how the formula works to produce the results it claims.
