This realization, coupled with her discovery of the benefits of a raw food diet, evolved into the Astara skin care product line. The Astara line provides products designed from raw ingredients found around the globe, with the intention of bringing the skin to optimum health and beauty. There are many customer testimonials on the website, and publications that the Astara products have been featured in. However, we were unable to find any offers for free samples or money back guarantees listed.

While natural skin care products have become a popular trend in the industry, this company goes a step further to ensure that all of the ingredients that go into Astara formulas remain as true to their original structure as possible. We commend this company for their attention to preserving natural ingredients; however, whether these ingredients prove to be effective in skin care remains to be seen. We will explore one particular anti-aging product in this line – the Age Defying Complex.

Product Details

The ingredients that are listed on the company website for the Astara Age Defying Complex include Soy Phosholipids, Sodium Hyaluronate, Niacin, Vitamin E Tocopherol, Vitamin A Palmitate, Superoxide Dismutase, Yeast Extract and Gingko Biloba. The only ingredient listed here that is a proven anti-wrinkle substance in sodium hyaluronate. This substance is one of the most effective skin hydrators available, smoothing the skin's surface and adding sufficient moisture to reduce the look of fine lines.

However, sodium hyaluronate is usually most effective when it is combined with other proven anti-aging ingredients like soluble collagen, matrixyl 3000 or argireline. We notice that none of these ingredients are included in the ingredient list for the Astara Age Defying Complex. While there are some good moisturizers and antioxidants in the formula, none of them will be particularly effective at diminishing the look of lines and wrinkles without at least one of these other ingredients.

However, if you are very dedicated to the raw food movement and the principles associated with it, this could be a good product for you.
